Something happened to my T2 installation. No matter what mission I play, the AI are all froxen in the crucifix pose. All the ambient noise and talking are there but the AI do nothing but stand there with their arms spread wide. Short of re-installing, is there something I can do to fix it?

Does motiondb.bin exist in your Thief directory and what is its date/size?

It does not exist in my Thief2 directory. It does exist in my ThiefG directory but not having a problem with that one.

Thats the rub, right there. No motiondb, no movement. A reinstall should do it. You could copy it over, but I don't know if would be the same as the motiondb that T2 needs.

I had this happen to me once by deleting all the random .bin files I had collected in the main directory. Turns out, I think the motiondb.bin file is the only .bin file needed there. I know it's sitting on Disc 2 of your Thief 2 discs, you can just copy it over to your Thief 2 install, and see if that works. It did for me without having to reinstall.
