A few months back, I installed DDFix (v1.5.11) and after some trial and error I was able to successfully enjoy bloom as I remembered back when DDFix (v1.1) was released. However, I ran into an issue with an over-bloomed Skybox when attempting to play the "Life of the Party" mission where
Garret takes the Thieves highway (which is one of my favorite missions).
Here's a picture of the Skybox:

http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/kc9W2LrFPZM/hqdefault.jpgI looked into my DDFix and Cam.ini files to see where some of the bloom parameters are and I tweaked a few of them around. Fortunately, I was able to find BloomIntensity and adjust it to find the right amount of world bloom. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any parameters to adjust for Skybox bloom which resulted in me turning off the bloom completely when adjusting BloomIntensity too low (about 50).
Has anyone ran into this issue? Any help would be appreciated :thumb:

Excellent! I was apprehensive to download Tafferpatcher at first but after looking further into it, it's looking like a winner. :thumb:

Even if it doesn't matter anymore ...
The difference between ddfix and NewDark is not the display bit depth, which is 32 bits in both cases.
With ddfix bloom and daytime missions, it is usually necessary to raise the threshold level. For LotP, setting BloomThreshold=0x909090 in ddfix.ini completely removes bloom from the sky. Another option is to enable dynamic threshold by setting DynamicThreshold=1. With this setting, ddfix adjusts the bloom threshold based on what is on screen in order to prevent large areas - such as the sky - from generating bloom. The speed with which the threshold adapts to changes is controlled with the DynamicDecay parameter.

Marvelous picture. Looks like AngelWatch detonated in a 10 megaton boom.

It still looks the same with NewDark's bloom. The thing you might want to do is to turn fog off.

I think you mean 10 megaton bloom.

Do we need to put up signposts around here informing everyone of NewDark? :erg:
I'd have thought eidos would have done what nightdive have done for shock2 by now, and bundled newdark with thief 1 and 2 on the distribution services those are on. Wouldn't that be nice?

they don't care about NewDark. which is probably for the best.
