[SPOILER]I'm playing on Fiendish, and on that level the compass was located in a chest in the caves. The chest is in the first building once you get to the water... there is two guards guarding that building, but you can dive down into the water and come up underneath the building through a hole in the floor.... the chest will be right beside you when you surface.[/SPOILER]

i think the compass location on simple difficult is different from the other difficult levels, i´ve search on that bulding in the caves and there was only a shadow of the chest, i went to the master bedroom but couldn´t find any switch unless i was in the wrong room, i guess the master room is that one with the painting of the kraken... so where exactly must i find the compass in siple difficult? it´s the only objective i need to conclude, i´m loving this mission:thumb:

This might be different as well..... but on fiendish level.... the room with "The Kraken" belongs to Partridge's son. The "Master Bedroom" is across the hall(the door that doesn't light up), you have to find another way in.

Needed help from the thread to solve the main puzzle, but aside from that, no problems to speak of. A most enjoyable and interesting mission.
One little oddity I noted:
[SPOILER]When I found Lord Smith, I thought I should get him out of harm's way ASAP, so I took him to the forest gate before getting the Dragon's Eye. When I came back to the mansion and opened the chest, the level ended immediately with the success screen. Not that I'm complaining -- saved me a third trip to the gate.[/SPOILER]

clearing, you need the Septic tank key, which is on the floor in the bathroom (Trophy room on the map) and then the Smelly key, which is found in the septic tank. It unlocks a lockbox on the wall of the Library and you can enter a secret passageway. In there, look for a lever that says "Cloakroom" above it. Flip it then go back down to the front foyer and into one of the small coat closets (with red curtains). A secret door has opened in one of them.
Pistole2k Go into the lower section of the ship and move the boxes. There's a hole underneath.
