Can the title of this thread be edited to remove "New?" It's been over 4 years after all. :D
"New" always catches my eye but then comes the realization that it's just an old thread bumped to the surface.
Edited to change 3 to 4! And I remember the day it came out; man I've been playing Thief for a long time.

I thought,It was correct to carry on the thread for the Mission,it is for.
Even though it is not new.I have not very long been playing fm's.I will not "Bump" any more threads.:erm:

Gillie, bumping this thread up to ask a question was just fine. You didn't do anything wrong. It's much better not to have a ton of little threads about a mission with only one or two questions in each.
I'll edit the thread title and remove the "New" part, though. :)

Having the alarm go off shouldn't have ended the mission, I don't think, not if it's optional but I must admit, it's been so long since I've played this, I can't really say for sure.

By all means Gillie bump away the last thing we need are 5 or 10 threads for 1 FM each possibly asking the same questions.
You are correct in bumping the threads or should I say resurrecting older threads of FM's of not so long ago.
I guess Nightwalker and I are on the same wave length. You weren't posted when I started my post.

Another strange objective is there? Don't' set off the Alarm's [Optional]
I nearly got caught and a Mechanist set off the alarm, and the game ended?
Really strange. When I played it, maybe a year ago, I am sure I set off the alarm, too, but the mission did
not end. Only the objective was marked as "not accomplished". Exactly the way an optional, but failed, objective should behave.
However, I am pretty sure I was playing on lowest difficulty level. Maybe the problem is not present then?
What about reloading a saved game and setting off the alarm on purpose, just to check out whether the problem will arise again?
And concerning the "bumping" of the thread... I think along the line many others apparently think here - in your case, it was absolutely correct and justified. And I think Norman Druart's :D -sign was meant to tell people that it was not really a problem.
If you have questions concerning an old mission and they are not answered in already present threads, you have every right to resurrect an old thread, I think. This will keep all questions concerning one single mission together.

You're having some serious problems with FMs! I've never heard of anyone not being able to read the books. This mission will be very hard to complete without them as they include a number of clues. You can open up the mission zip file and then open the "books" file to read them. If you want the locations of the pictures, you'd have to tell me what difficulty setting you're playing on as the mission is quite different on each one.

I am playing on hard, I can ghost but it frustrates me too much what can I say.
I am a blackjack man.
I will try downloading it again first. Yea im not over my quota!
Downloading again now, I think I got the one I have from a cd slyfoxx sent me which included some betas and such so possibly thats why I have no text.
Thanks again Slyfoxx!

You shouldn't have any beta missions on that CD. They're not supposed to be distributed but he didn't do the beta on Art of Thievery so that can't be it. Perhaps it was just a bad download.
