After a clean install Thief 2 game in Win8 game does not work. After installing the patch 1.19 New Dark game works but is not working for brightness (the game's gamma) game is due to dark. Does anyone know if this can be resolved?:confused:

Did you start with Thief 2 version 1.18? If so, then I would suggest upgrading to NewDark v1.21

Yes I installed Thief 2 to version 1.18 and v.1.21 NewDark, but not in settings
games use the "gamma". I even tried to use the graphic chip (notebook Asus has
two graphics cards) but the result did not appear. For other games Thief (T3, Dishonored, DarkMod) brightness control in the game settings work. Other games do not play until I said wrong. In previous laptop Asus F5GL (Vista 32), this issue failed. Current Asus notebook is also S56CM (Win 8 64) I would like to solve this problem because the mission but the game itself JSU dark enough and it does not help that increase the brightness of the TV because it is slightly but significantly lighter gray.

Taffer Patcher, is a popular program that configures NewDark to T2. There should be a link here in the forums.

Problem solved, finally showed itself as faulty Darkloader. Then just one question what is your experience with Gerretloader? For me scrambles to Darkloader, the Gerretloader is advantageous that it can also run missions from Thief Darkmod or Thief 3
Is there anything other than Gerretloader?:cheeky:

Garrettloader works fine for me but many people have problems with it and it is no longer being supported by its developer. There is a new mission loader that comes with New Dark (v1.19 - v1.21) called FMSel. It works very well.
