@Brother Renault: A mission completely taken out of context and about the usual ancient evil and the undead? I guess that undead issue made itself independent some years ago. But at the same time you don't think that you can include that Hammerite mission that would be a really cool counterpoint to the Mechanists? That's what I cannot comprehend; why someone would exclude a mission that would fit the story while concentrating on some semi-experiment without a lot of support in the actual story.

I'll leave any kind of "state of affairs" speech to nicked, he's the main man.
I will say however, that one of the main purposes of the project is to create a fan version of Thief2 Gold the way the original designers intended it to be. Based on that premise, there is quite a bit of info for the Waking The Dead mission that Emil was working on, right down to objectives and briefings. On the Hammer mission, there is virtually nothing.
Of course, the T2 Gold missions that do exist were released to the public. That means anyone can take a stab at them. Hope that doesn't sound snippy, it's not meant that way. I only say that because fans aren't always going to agree on what direction a campaign should take. I think it would be really interesting to see two (or more) different groups interpretation of T2 Gold. Unlikely to happen, but still.

Hey,
I tried using that form under "Join Us" to offer my staggering musical qualities :cheeky:, but it seems to be broken and the forum on the Thief II Gold site also looks semi-dead..
Is there someone I can send an e-mail..? Or should I still try the "official" forum?

Is there any date that the project is being pushed for or is it coming when its done kinda thing

What happened to the rest of the mythical journal? :eww:
jtr7 on 1/8/2007 at 22:50
Too bad no one knows who qckbeam really is/was. As for the speculation that the Journal might be a hoax, Emil himself never called qckbeam out, so I believe it was the real deal. As far as we know qckbeam ceased to exist, or died and left no will.

Hey everyone,
I'm sorry to have to say, but the project has fallen behind schedule a lot, and I am going to have to quit. I have less and less free time due to real life, and it's not helping the project for me to stay on. I've left the project with Brother Renault so I'm hoping he'll be better able to get some progress made. I'm sorry to have to drop out, as I really am looking forward to the missions, and I really hope they will see the light of day in the future.

Sorry to hear that, but you do what you have to do. I know well how plans change and you have to move on and discard unfinished plans.
Any news is welcome, I say. Brother Renault's posts had a note of hope in them, so this is a confirmation that the project's not dead, just slowed to a crawl. Or stalled?
So... Is there any new little thing that may be shared?

there's been basically little progress since the website was last updated, I'm afraid. Brother Renault has done some more work on the Waking the Dead mission, but it's probably not at a stage worth showing yet. I'll leave it up to him though!
