Just for fun I was recently poking around the old Thief 2 Gold files that Digi released back in 2006 (check (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108070) here if you don't know what I'm talking about). In the process, I made some youtube vids of the levels, thought I'd share for anyone who hasn't seen these levels and/or isn't too thrilled to fire up Dromed to do so.
Keep in mind these are unfinished mission, so there are areas with no sound or texturing. These missions also haven't been processed, so the lighting isn't great. I also made the AI unaware so they wouldn't get in the way:
(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0pRlrIQHoQ) Raid at Willard Square
(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAHLiwJR_gc) Culture Break (museum mission)
(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do5Gvh9fvRc) College mission
(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s6bPE7IvIE) Framed (modified from the original)
For Framed, I want to put in some annotations in at some point, but suffice it to say the only areas shown in the vid are the areas where changes were made.
I've been tempted to revive this project, but no promises at this point. It's always intrigued me, but obviously it would be a ton of work.

I like "Raid at Willard Square" they look like they all have potential. Are the original stories still available? I take it that the complete T2 Gold campaign would have a progressive plot to the story from the beginning to the end, and would be released as a new Gold edition.
Thanks for sharing those!

Awesome. It's really cool to get a look at what else the devs had in store for us. I wonder if any of them were meant to be story-related missions, or if they were "introductory" type missions where you just stole stuff.

Thank you, Brethren, for giving us a full impression of what the missions were supposed to be. It was never ableo to shoot those missions up in dromed because Ive never used it before but I was always interested how they look like.
Is there any bonus material about the stories of the mission available? I have to say that the story telling of Looking Glass Studios is unique, so I would really like to get some additional backround.
