I have a cordless keyboard,and using a usb controller. will this make a difference? And if this is the problem how can I rectify this?

READ THE FAQ! USB devices can, and often do cause problems with TDS. There are some possible cures mentioned.

Another reason people keep asking for specs and information on systems when "malfunction" questions are asked.

The quick fix: Get a standard keyboard and mouse, and don't have a joystick plugged in.

The USB thing isn't in the FAQ, although it probably should be - I've answered it several times myself.

I think the workaround was to unplug the controller, start the game up then reconnect it again. Info for the Saitek keyboard is (http://www.saitek.com/row/supp/gamersk_support.htm) here.
