@ Beleg,
what is that crackling sound starting at 1:00 of S&R? Sounds very odd, I have the european version of the game but dont have that sounds in the music. :erg:
Very odd.

In-game volume settings? Really? Odd, when I play the mp3 the sound seems much sharper and closer (and crackly even), than when I hear them in-game on my system. Especially when compared to the other sounds.
Hmm, well, maybe not. I'll look into it. They definitely do not follow the rhythm of the orchestral loops, though.
EDIT - you're right, they're much too loud, and too frequent. I've fixed it. One thing I'm not sure about is whether or not the background drone plays through the orchestral loops. It seems to play during the first, and fade out during the second, but it's hard to tell, especially since the loops play quite sparingly in-game.

Amazing that you built them with - what one would have thought - so little
They were built in FL Studio 7; the newest version has fairly good handling of wave files.

Did you leave the ending of your S&R track intentively the way it is?
Whoops, I didn't realise. The track fades out and then fades back in - that's a mistake. I'll correct it for the final version. I like the S&R version you posted. Including the ship sounds was a good idea, I had forgotten about that part.

Good tracks, thanks Aja!

Thanks, clearing, Abysmal, addlink, and spix's circle.:)
I'll continue to refine the tracks and hopefully the entire soundtrack can be finished soon (yeah I've said it before). The good news is that some of the levels, like Ambush, use very few new files, and so they can be either integrated into other tracks, or in some cases omitted entirely. Soulforge is going to be tricky, though.
As for Ramirez, it'll happen eventually, but first I need to finish T2.

The KdK (Kind des Karras, du müsstest es ja verstehen...) included some "environmental" SFX like engines, gears and so on. He claims that also they were listed in the schema files and I think it was a good idea to use them, too, since the "official" TDS soundtrack also uses such things (e.g. sounds of clocks in the Clocktower mission track). Plus, we have to be thankful for every (canon) file that we can include.
And at least
I knew it, you can hear this sound near the giant gears, I think.

Really? Hmm, cant remember that sound. I wish I could go into T2 to look for it unfortunately Thief 1&2 does not work on my computer.

By the way, thinking of the way the soundtrack was built (in the game, I mean), one can include a lot of strange sounds since this is somehow the base of everything. Furthermore, we have – as I mentioned before – some additional sounds in our Haunted Cathedral track (see that link on page one), just as an experiment, but personally I don't think it sounds odd or even destroys the atmosphere.

Nice work on Eavesdropping. It's full of my memories when i hear them. Thanks~

I enjoy Framed a lot, but my favourite soundtrack moment is the 'Bank' scene in Eavesdropping (the Bank basement music) which always reminds me of impending robot doom.

Any news? I really love the soundtracks of Thief dark project and Thief 2, I hope this project is not dying.
I welcome any new track from T1&T2 that made it into a mp3 file! :)
