Those are Original Bugs that were fixed. If you're encountering them, then I'm not sure you have the Fixpack installed correctly. You can extract it into your Main Thief2 director, or you can play it as a Fan Mission using DarkLoader or FMSel, or you can install it with Tafferpatcher.

Is Garrett supposed to floating about a foot off the ground when he is crouched, when viewed through the scouting orb? Strange.

jep its normal and does not affect gameplay
might be a issue with the original game
i don't think LG expect you to look at yourself^^
