As far as I know, epithumia plans to distribute T2X via bittorrent.
Can't wait! :)

I had an idea for internet distribution  It probably wont happen though. Since Im sure no one wants to host this thing, how about giving several servers exclusive rights to a certain chunk of it  Need more than three I suppose. Thief-TheCircle 1/3 Thiefmissions 1/3 and TheKeep 1/3  Those chuncks would still be over 200 megs right :( Surely we can find at least 7 volunteers. 65 megs a piece still though  :( . Each server would need to provide a link to the following chunk.

I'd rather grab it via BitTorrent, actually.

Yeah BitTorrent would be a great medium of distribution for T2X.
For those on slow connections or with unreasonable download caps, I should be able to offer my services for burning free copies for other taffers, but I expect we'll be sorting all that out later on.
Man, I'm really looking forward to T2X. All of the effort by everyone involved is deeply appreciated.
Thanks :D

Just to address one quick concern: we are going to try to fit it on one CD. The Dark Project fit on one CD right?
Thinking of that, it would be great if there was some official box-art (CD tray and sleeve notes) since we're all bound to back-up or even distribute it on CD. :thumb:

This is awesome news, I've been looking forward to this for quite a while. It's incredible to see such a long spare-time project come to fruition!
Count me as another vote for BitTorrent. :thumb:

I'd pay to have it delivered in a proper box with proper cd's in it. This is as much a release of a game as anything else. I want to have it in my shelf collection, and hug and kiss it before going to sleep. It want to cover it in pepper and sneeze all over it.

Yeah I'm sure someone on the team or even a fan could knock up a couple of designs for both jewel cases and DVD cases.
Although here's me saying that it would be simple...

BA comes back to the land of the living, scrapes her remains up off the floor, and begins to type, sorry have been sick.
Yes, back to work, must finish briefings. Go team go. : -)

Awesome news. Just awesome.
And please, for the love of all that is Thief, let's organize a bittorrent release. It excels at exactly these kinds of situations - lots of people getting something huge all at once (which then rapidly trails off). ESPECIALLY since this community will "do the right thing" and keep seeding after the download is finished.
I urge the developers to contact known benefactors in order to organize this.
