The written recorded prophecies are gone, and now not to be known. But the prophecies themselves, like that tree that falls in the forest, are still extant, because someone made them.
Like the sound, we don't know it was made, and the prophecies, if they come true, won't effect us as we will be unaware of their fullfilment. :ebil:
Well they aren't "Unwritten times" then, if someone has written about them and the writing has been wiped clean. The prophecies had to end to the final glyph, or the times after that wouldn't be too "Unwritten" would they?
And really, what good is a prophecy if nobody knows about it? That's called "first-hand witnessing of an event" -not "foreseeing an event" :thumb:

Theory: The last prophecies that were in the books were unnoticed by the keepers because they were part of the "unwritten times" -prophecy. These prophecies were false and would never have come true. You would think that the keepers would have noticed a long time ago that there are no more propecies in the last pages, but all they had was a book where was a prophecy about the "unwritten times". This is probably why it came as such a surprise that the writings vanished. Because there were still books that contained further prophecies, the keepers didn't expect the time of uncertainty to come.

Do the prophecies say anything about whether Garrett is going to have a sidekick in the next one?

I doubt that since they were all deleted before that part of the cutscene. :laff:
