HAve the following problem.Found this solution.
The Intro movie keeps repeating and I can't start a game!
It is very likely that you have a Dual Core processor, such as an AMD Athlon 64 X2 or an Intel Pentium "D" which is the cause of the problem.
The solution is to set Thief III to use only one core. This can be accomplished by entering the Processes tab of the Task Manager when the game is running, right clicking each of the Thief III-releated processes (T3Main.exe, T3.exe), selecting "Affinity" and unchecking one of the CPUs.
You can make this change permanent by following Salvage's guide he wrote for The Dark Engine (Thief 1, Gold, 2 and System Shock 2) and making the changes to T3.exe and T3Main.exeDoesn't work!
I can't tab out while the intro is running. It goes to the taskmanager and then right back to the intro.
So I tried the permanent fix: (

Not sure which form to use.TG,T1,or T2?
And unzipping the imagecfg to the win32 folder is not a problem, but the dllcache is nowhere to be found.
Also have tried "Run First" and "Fliptib" to no avail. When I right click on the DS icon , select properties and type what I`m instructed to,I get a message that it's not a valid path.Must be doing something wrong.
After spending all day in the TTLG forums, and internet search engines I've found no remedy specifically for DS.All just some round about fixes that don't seem to work for DS.
Aside from buying an"old PC",what else can I do.

You don't need to tab out of it, set it run on a single-core before you start the game.
Also, the perma-fix you're trying won't work because it's for the Dark Engine, which T3 isn't using.
