I'm putting this together for all the players who may have difficulty finding that last piece of special loot when playing on Expert. I'm doing these from memory, so some of them may be vague. Feel free to contribute, and I will edit this first post to include them. Also, if someone could provide mission names for the ones I don't have listed, I'd appreciate it. Include which half of the map it can be found on (first or second) and as detailed a location as you can.

End of the Bloodline
1) (
http://img108.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img108&image=endofthebloodline016yc.jpg) [Image]
First Half. In the large stairwell near the guard's post, take the stairs all the way to the top. Sneak past the servant wandering around a room with a writing table and into the storage closet. Push the crate out of the way and climb through the hidden passageway. On the other side of the balcony is the painting you're looking for.
2) (
http://img108.exs.cx/img108/1092/endofthebloodline038vg.jpg) [Image]
Second Half. In Lord Ember's room, the second medallion lay on his fireplace.
3) (
http://img108.exs.cx/img108/5530/endofthebloodline022km.jpg) [Image]
Second Half. Go to the stairwell where the two people were having a conversation about how Lady Elizabeth can write in two languages. Take the stairs all the way to the top. A gilded helm waits for you in a chest in Lady Elizabeth's bedchambers.
####
Pagan Tunnels
1) (
http://img108.exs.cx/img108/9769/pagantunnels023uv.jpg) [Image]
Second Half. In the room where the Shaman is walking around, generally reached after you pass the canal and climb up a ladder. Up in the rafters, directly behind the little girl's bed lay a golden comb.
2) (
http://img108.exs.cx/img108/7559/pagantunnels030wz.jpg) [Image]
Second Half. In the locked room with the two animal skulls out front. Pick the chest inside to get something or other.
3) (
http://img108.exs.cx/img108/6868/pagantunnels012fd.jpg) [Image]
Second Half. In the rafters, above where the Pagans are practicing their combat skills, continue past the giant gear and through the opening. Right before the the window that leads outside is a statuette on a shelf.
####
Hammerite Cathedral
1) (
http://img16.paintedover.com/uploads/16/hammerite01.jpg) [Image]
First Half. Inside the High Priest's room, pick the lock to his chest to get a Cat O' Nine Tails. Dirty old man.
2) (
http://img16.paintedover.com/uploads/16/hammerite03.jpg) [Image]
First Half. Upstairs, in one of the two pulpits, there's a codex book resting on a bench that you need.
3) (
http://img16.paintedover.com/uploads/16/hammerite02.jpg) [Image]
First Half. In the barracks, which are also upstairs, pick the chest next to the sleeping Hammer to get an effigy.
####
The Captain's House
1)
Second Half. There's a telescope sitting on a pedestal in the atrium, behind the mistress of servants.
2)
First Half. In the first floor library, there's a lucky coin sitting on the table. Looks like it's your lucky day.
3)
Second Half. In the Master Bedroom, head to the bathroom and take the widow's mirror. She'll probably kill herslef soon anyway, so she won't be needing this.
####
Sunken Citadel
1)
Second Half. You must be on the platform ABOVE the Throne room SE of the throne. Now turn around and head down those stairs. You have no choice but to go S, then E, then S again. At the bottom of the stairs, contine on S and enter the crooked doorway (a torch is burning inside there). Enter, turn right. The tapestery (gold-rimmed, aqua, upside down Kurshok reaching for the crown) is behind the pots on your right.
2)
First Half. Near where you first come in, there's two pagans standing on a ledge to the side of a room having a conversation. Behind them is a large, glowing rock on the wall. It's really a diamond with a night-lite stuck it in. Take them both.
3)
First Half. There's a ruby-encrusted horn that's just begging to be taken down in the hatchery.
####
Killing Time
1)
First Half. Almost as soon as you enter the mission, in the room with the swinging pendulums, there is a diamond gear high on the wall near the patrolling Hammerite.
2)
First Half. Climb down the ladder from the previous room. Under the desk where you can find the mechanical plans for the clocktower, a bottle of booze that's worth a nice chunk of cash awaits you.
3)
Second Half. Right before you take the first elevator down, there's a little pulpit with a Hammerite and a Priest. There's an ingot there that you need.
####
Keeper Compound
1)
First Half. This one depends on whether or not you rig the vote by knocking out some of the Keepers. If they vote to move the books, you will need to go to the Scribarium and it'll be on the pedestal at the head of the room. If they don't move them, I *think* it'll be in the Library, on a table.
2)
First Half. Another book, this time in the Dining Hall on the table.
3)
First Half. In the Library, directly above the loading zone for the lower libraries, there is a set of golden scales that you'll need. Climb up to get them.
####
Robbing the Cradle
1)
First Half. After coming downstairs from the attic, turn left and head down the hall to the director's office. There's a safe which contains a bottle of vintage wine.
2)
Second Half. In the lobotomy room is a set of silve surgical tools.
3)
In the morgue, a set of golden teeth rests in a sack in one of the vault-things.
####
Wieldstrom Museum
1)
First Half. This is going to be vague, but... there are two glass display cases near the Heart. The Curator's monocle is behind one of them. They're fairly close together so, if it isn't behind one, check the other.
2)
First Half. Directly upstairs from the Heart, there's a guard standing in front a large painting of a woman. This is the authentic looking forgery that you need to steal.
3)
Second Half. Directly downstairs from the room with the power switch is a tall statue wearing a valuable necklace. Shoot the necklace off with a broadhead arrow and make off with it.
I'm going to load up my save towards the end of this mission and come up with better descriptions in a little bit.

Ah, I was planning on doing something similar to this as well. Go for it though, it'll save me some time. :thumb:

Also, the next time I play through the game, I'm going to compile a list of hard-to-find loot. I haven't gotten 100% loot on any of the missions, so I could use a hand with that one.

An interesting companion to this would be a list of all the special loot hints, for people who may have missed one but don't want to know exactly where an item is...
S_Hole on 31/5/2004 at 19:14
these are very helpful, but a bit vague
"room where shaman is walking around" is not very specific, as there's atleast three characters that claim themselves as shamans
Kildread on 31/5/2004 at 21:00
Actually, that one pretty self-evident since there's only one room marked as 'Shaman' on the map.
I could help for the 'oddly placed loot' as I've gotten 100% up to the Keeper Compound, which I'm starting.
Frankly, it'd take additional thought to come up with hints for these. ;) This is more for the people that have been stuck for hours and would just like to finish the missions.
And as the person aboved mentioned: There's only one Shaman on that map. She has a large bedroom all to herself, right past where the Treebeast is wandering the canal.
I try to be as specific as I can, but sometimes it's difficult, especially since I'm doing many of these from memory.

In the keeper compund, ther are:
three parts of a special book, not worth too much each. I forget the name.
and
golden scales, above the entrance to caduca's chambers
A list of all the in-game hints would be nice to have...
Nupraptor on 2/6/2004 at 12:53
Indeed. But that's not what this is about.
I'll gladly do a list of hard-to-find loot when I get the chance. However, the problem is... it's too hard for me to find! :laff: Well, exaggerating a bit. But there were a few times where I really had to struggle just to get the 90% loot, and I've never gotten 100% on any of the missions. So I'll need help putting that one together.
