hi. i dunno who has discovered it as well. but in old quarter district. the one where the hag last appeared in the finale. i did some exploring. and found some hidden passage above some wall.
and in the 'hammerites church' district or sth(cant remeber. cos it's long time ago.) actually there's a empty compound, on top of the walls, lies a gargoyle statue with 2 precious ruby eyes . could be taken as loot.
i wonder if i'm the only person who discovered these hidden treasures or what? anyone found similar hunts as me?
rgds,
kai

Well, they aren't Special Loot, but this is what you're remembering:

While you're here in the graveyard, you can search the northeast corner for a SILVER NUGGET (100)
and climb the western wall to find a ledge with TWO JADE GOBLETS (75, 75), as well as a well-concealed Rust Mite.
Also, out in the front of the Fort, there is a gargoyle that's only accessible by climbing. Climb up to it and take its eyes; TWO JADE (100, 100).All the loot in all the games has been accounted for and listed within the first year or two since their individual releases. :)

Yeah, finding something tucked away for the diligent is always a nice personal pat on the back.:D
Sadly, my version of TDS doesn't have the gemstones on the eyes. I looked in T3Ed and played the map, too. The rust mite is there, on the other side, up high above the graveyard. Either something's truly amiss, or I have a different version, and I didn't know a variation was released. I wonder how many other things are different?

Is it possible that you were looking at the wrong gargoyle ? It is not the one in the graveyard, but rather another one in Old Quarter, at the roof of a building on the right side of the entrance to Fort Ironwood. I did find the gemstones there.

All riiight! Thanks, I found it. It has nothing to do with the one in the cemetery near the most-hidden rustmite, after all. Inaccurate walkthrough strikes again--unless the eyes were moved, rendering the once-accurate walkthrough inaccurate. Thanks.:)

In the Cradle its impossible to get the special loot items in the "past." They will only appear in the "present." I didn't discover this until I reached the final "past" event when I had to leave the Cradle, and could not finish the mission without going back to a previous save.

If you enter the cage again and close the door, you'll return to "present".

Never
trust walkthroughs. They are from a single perspective only and vary widely with the difficulty level chosen by the author.
As a guide, OK. As an exact path, questionable.

I don't trust 'em, heh heh. They are always inaccurate, even just for human mistakes, but especially when they were made with one version in mind, from memory, or made during development, or don't take randomizing into account. I used T3Ed to quickly get into the cemetery, and had to search for the gemstones in the object hierarchy. Unfortunately, walkthroughs are the closest thing I have to a quick reference sheet for collecting specific mission info.
