Man, it has been a long time since I frequented these forums and read the great Tweaking post (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83801) here.
Here I am again, reinstalled Thief3 with some of my old stuff backed up, but alas! My movement is Ubi-fied and I long for the tweak that can make Garrett move the way he should!
Not that sluggish strafing from side to side where it seems like there's a small delay.
Anyone know what I mean?
Well apparently the one who replied with the movement tweak on (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83801) that thread understood as I remember my original experiences with Thief3 to be much more pleasing.
Right now I'm hoping that any of you regulars may know how I can get a hold of
Mr.K's tweaked T3PlayerAnims.ini that was bolded as "Thief3 Movement Tweak" on that thread.
Oh fellow low-lives, thieves & beggars, I cry out as one seeking alms for the poor soul who dost lost his age-old tweakings & fiddlings of Thief3....and I aim to re-live the experience with my friend Garrett once again, but not until I can hopefully get my movement sorted!
Please! :thumb:

The Minimalist Project tweaks the movements quite well. Somewhere around here... There are a lot of other changes, though, so I don't know if the sheer movement tweaks are also listed somewhere.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
Did the trick...along with some other surprising enhancements (ie the eye-zoom no longer having the annoying noise)

If don't mind me asking, what does this mean? I've never played T3.
I'm guessing that he now moves like Sam Fisher from Ubi's Splinter Cell?

I can barely remember playing Splinter Cell (which has only-3rd-person view anyway, iirc), but the problem with TDS was that Garrett - due to the 3D model - always stood something next to himself, if I may say so, and walked little circles instead of turning around where he stood. The Minimalist Project fixed that quite well (and a lot of other things, although I would have liked to choose); one reason why I cannot really understand when people are still complaining about the movements.
Garrett can't do a (
