Hate to be a doomsayer, but it's what I've suspected for quite awhile now. Oh well, one can only hope to be wrong in this case. :(

If that's true, then it looks very bad and possible that the project could be scrapped. But who knows?

These departures have been known for some time now. Yes, they don't look good for Thief 4. Yes, they probably mean that the game is in development hell (as we know that they are still developing it). Yes, it doesn't feel good to be kept in the dark, although there might be a good reason.
There still aren't enough elements to say that the game will be cancelled or pushed back to god knows when though.

I wish they would of never said anything at all about the damn game. I'd rather not know. The length of time with no news is ridiculous.

It's a joke. The PR people or whoever at Sqiedos who continually refuse to release any info on an ANNOUNCED PRODUCT (announced over 3 years ago as we well know) are incompetent.

I don't know the details, and this is from Sneaky Bastard's Stealth Jam, but if this is real (and I suspect it is) there is nothing to worry about:
(

Thanks Dominus (from the "Thief 4 announced" thread).

From my observations, most of the games that really impressed me in the end were developed silently.

When you have a team of 80-120 people, of course some of those people are going to leave and move on at some point. There's no way a major production like Thief 4 with the pedigree it has is going to just be cancelled or become vaporware.

Seems to me that a team of 80-120 people could make a whole game in 3 or 4 years. What worries me is they've been spending too much time trying to reinvent what Thief is. The formula is there, it's proven that even amateur designers can produce stunning results.
Does anybody here think that if Eidos rang up Dan Todd 4 years ago, gave him a staff of 100 people and told him to make Thief 4 that we'd be sitting here without a complete game?
