Hey, hey. We don't discriminate here.
Props to you for poking your nose in here, Guv'nor... that alone confirms you have the courage to pull off anything! :p

Wait....it sounds like he's just...holding down one note on a synth....and... absolutely nothing else....:weird:
Yes, it works though....doesn't it? Over time, it builds tension. Your minds waits for some kind of relief, but doesn't get it. Somewhat a hypnotizing effect. It's not necessarily supposed to be a full blown orchestra, distracting you from the game with it's brilliance...it's supposed to augment the environment and not pull you out of it. Which something this simple does extremely well.

Not only that, but notice all the wonderful sound effects that occur during the length of that clip? Um, Eric didnt just do the "music"... :ebil: I think we can all agree that the bulk of the sfx were more than memorable.
jtr7 on 22/1/2010 at 15:28
Yeah. Ramin and Kemal did really well under Eric's direction.

Dude, you are not going with the peaceful flow here...
Eric is awesome, Paul is awesome, anything else?

I love his work but he's not a particularly rare talent in ambient music.
I agree with this completely.
Disagree. I don't think, for example, that (
http://www.last.fm/music/Brighter%2520Death%2520Now?ac=brighter%20death%20now) Brighter Death Now would fit in as Thief ambient music. :p
My current favorite dark ambient artist (been listening to him all morning), (
http://www.last.fm/music/Kammarheit) Kammarheit, is not in the Wikipedia list... he's amazing. I'm planning to use his stuff in my upcoming UNPC mission.
