Hey ok, Thief 4 will be good, but why in the future ?
I mean like, a modern re-boot of the game sounds good, but where's the sneaking when you've got a gun ?
How is Garrett going to get through high-security alarm and all that with a bow and arrow ?
What about Steam-punk stuff ?
It would be good in the same city, but hey, no future with cars and all that, the same old city, but extensions to it. Like more cities, going by boat (You get to steal it, of course) but having a gun and modern clothes on a master thief, a master sneak, a shadow-master, I'm not to sure about it...:nono::weird:

What the hell are you going on about? :weird: Nobody said T4 will be in the future, in fact, it will most likely be in the same old setting with the same old Garrett. ;)

I was just wondering myself. Did you read this somewhere Necros, have a nightmare about it, or what? If you're looking for a 'pro' type of argument for setting T4 in the future/modern day, I doubt that you'll get it. I don't know of any Taffers who'd want to see that happen.

This was old news from back in 2004 and has nothing to do with Eidos Montreal. Before Ion Storm shut down, they were planning to retool the Thief series in a modern setting, but Ion Storm is gone...and from what I've heard, Eidos Montreal does not plan to take the series into the future.

I thought that it would be in the future,because I read something dating from 2007/2008 that said : Thief 4, future or the original ? for a title and I got freaked out by what I had read. Sorry, my stupid mistake...
