It's not about Thief[4] at all, is it, Tomi? It's all about disagreeing, not matter what, right? The truth speaks for itself. The devs and their work speak for themselves, and when misinterpreted by some, they've released corrective statements--or jeering wiseassery, hahaha!

It's not about disagreeing. It's about holding up your end of the conversation so it can continue. Your refusal to do so is the reason why this current conversation is taking place.

What have you seen that makes you think Thief 4 is going to be exactly like Assassin's Creed.

Nothing at all. We both want a good game, but I might be the only one between the two of us who cares about the Thief part. Hundreds of games to satisfy you, hundreds more on the way, but only one Thief, and you don't care about the Thiefiness of it. A guy who steals, Garrett in name only, all else is irrelevant. Guess what? I don't believe that's true of you.
Anyway, every time someone offers a positive possibility that doesn't contradict what we've been shown or told a few times by many different people, I adopt it until proven wrong, not by angry offended "optimists" who aren't optimists at all. I let the devs, marketing, and manager, and then the journalists and faux-journalists get their say, first, before a forum member tries to impose optimism and false-hopes on things. I praise what I like, and since I have to argue the negative, one point gets stretched over pages. Stop pouncing and it will be so much less for everyone to look at.

It sounds more like you come in here to scream baseless accusations and heresay. You're not coming in here as a fan. You're not even coming in here to discuss the game. Case in point...

If you truly want all the negativity to end, then answer my question. When I first asked you, my main reason in wanting to know why you thought what you did was so I could refute it. Instead, you played a game of keep away, and now here we are. A discussion derailed.
So either put up or shut up, jtr. I don't care which, so long as you stop the histrionics and self-aggrandizing martyrdom preening.

I am taking a personal risk by responding to your persona at this point. Listen to me, if you didnt take the time to read jtrs posts over the years... nevermind. This is comical. You want a link to where jtr clearly pointed things out? I shall give you a link to his posting history. What in gods name is going on around here. Perhaps some people spent too much time identifying any negative in his posts, and spent those years not even listening to what he was even saying, to not only recognise, but fully absorb the raw information he presented from the start. If it was up to me, I would block you from his post history, as I dont think you are worthy of this information. Maybe thats what I will do with my time off. I will make a tribute to jtrs long line of illustrious, thought provoking, and visiously intelligent posts on classic game design ideals. Follow along if you can, because its right there in every damn thread, these days.
