We could go on all night about the definition of a sequel... I see what you mean Yandros - all I meant was that in the abscence of an official Thief 4, I'm happy we've got such a quality standalone campaign as T2X in addition to the official trilogy. Same goes for all fan missions really!

:D Well, my point was just that it's silly not to call it a sequel.

Well, most developers tend to make a "safe" game, meaning they throw in some cheesy graphics (UT2kX style) and try to mainstream it as much as possible. Or some developers that tries to make something odd, fail horribly.
Instead they make Random shootem-up adventure. So i doubt we will see some original games with any real depth. Thou, i can´t say Thief 3 was that easy, in fact. It was more complex than Thief 2 (Not in a good way tho)
