Will Thief play using the CD-RW drive instead of the CD drive itself?

Hmmmm...I've never had a problem playing from a CD, a CDRW, or a CD/DVD drive.
Are you having some kind of problem with it?

Yeah my cd drive is broken but I can use CD-RW.

Yer it should be fine - though some things sometimes complain if you don't use the drive you installed it on. It should be fine though, if not, try reinstalling, or editing the drive name in the ini thing.

For some odd reason, my T2 won't play in my cd drive anymore so I'm using the cd/dvd drive and it works perfectly well there.

Dia, as Dan had posted, are you sure that you didn't install in on the cd/dvd drive? Have you tried to reinstall it via the CD drive? Does the CD drive work for other games? Most importantly, now that it's working on the cd/dvd drive...do you care ;) .

Yes; I had to install T2 on my cd/dvd drive because it wouldn't install in the regular cd drive. Other games seem to work fine in the cd drive; all except T2. I haven't reloaded T1 or TDS since my hard drive died six weeks ago, so I have no idea if it's the T2 disc or what. You're right, Griffin; as long as T2 works I don't care which drive it's in! :cheeky:
