Zombies really never scared me that much. Shalebridge was creepy but not scary. I just play ring-around-the-rosie with them while hitting them with a sword; or in TDS I use flashbombs if I dont have holy water on hand.

A further note: I like the haunt from TDS. A lot of you seem to hate the new version maybe cuz it's easier to kill, but I find the visuals and the shrieking more convincing.
At first I thought I saw a Hammer, and I don't mind it at all, but then it strike at me, and shrieked! I was really confused at first, I thought Hammers are already allied with me, and then I finally knew that was a haunt:p However, it lost a chance to freak me out.:cheeky:

I'd like to jump on the undead occasion to troll a little bit and say that - on a related but mildly distant note -, IMHO
T2X The Cure >>> TDS The Cradle
The Cure was one of my greatest undead moments, on par with RTTC. (And yes, The Cradle is arguably not really an undead mission, but whatever. It could have been great if it wasn't too damn short and boring after the puppets kick in, roughly half way in :/ ).
mm'kay, thanks for your attention. Back to finishing my move in.

The Cradle was short? Are we talking about the same Cradle? The one in which you had to do chore after chore after chore ...
I would agree that it was too small, like all TDS missions.

Besides the Cradle Puppets/Haunts, the scariest undead I've seen have been in Dr.K's Rocksbourg 2 FM (I didn't finish R#1 but have promised that I will - eventually and in broad daylight) and lately in Retribution by Turi Roberts. Mind you, I ABSOLUTELY, UNEQUIVOCABLY, WITHOUT A DOUBT AND TOTALLY HATE THE UNDEAD, but will play FMs containing those nasties, a.) if I'm stupid about the plot of an FM and don't realize there are undead in it, b.) if the FM has a deeper storyline/plot and the zombies are just a small part of it, and c.) if I'm being blackmailed or threatened within an inch of my life by someone much bigger than I am whom I have no possibility of defeating even if I cheat and fight dirty.
The new generation of undead are much more scary than the regular old zombies found in TDP & TMA because they almost look normal - that is - until you look at their faces! They seem to be able to move more quickly and with purpose as well. The sounds are spookier and more unnerving too. None of the above has managed to endear them to me in the least.

Meh. I thought The Cure was a fantastic level in terms of design and story, but there were only two times during the whole thing that I got freaked.

Something freaky happened yesterday. While working with my FM I planned and made a "run for your lives" zombie-rush. To see that the player could evade those dudes with nice foot-work I threw in a dozen or so of them. Everything went fine, survived without a scratch. Then I threw in the loot that could be got while running and gave Garrett a nice number of fire aroows in something would go wrong. Well, zombies blocked my path so I shot the arrows, and there was one still standing! This Übersoldat-zombie just kept on coming no matter the fire, holy water or sword! Creepy... (Dromed on, Delete, Delete, Delete...)
