Weekend Getaway is a great looking mission - but I personally hate when you are asked to ghost an undead mission without a sword to defend yourself should you be found - the undead cannot be dealt with as easily as humans can, obviously. To all you FM makers out there - please stop taking away the sword in undead missions! That being said, though it was not my cup o' tea, it is a beautiful looking mission.
but you find some pretty powerful tools to defend yourself. you just have to use them wisely.
a bit annoying was climbing the attic ladders (the roof is way too low) and using the kitchen lift (dunno what you call them), because sometimes i make sounds without even moving while going up or down.

We're up to 14 entries, a few new missions right before the contest missions were released AND possibly a few later releases that couldn't make the contest?
This is one incredible community.

I've updated the main post with new mirrors and the now complete list of all 14 missions!

By the way - am I hallucinating or has Redemption already been released in the past? I know I've played it before - but I didn't know if one of the rules stated that it has to be a new mission made just for the contest?

Build Time: 10 months
!?
I didn't play it yet, also I'm not too often FM player, but I just read the readme file and the story seems to be known to me, indeed  May it be that it is just some txt file mismatch what happened?

I recall seeing Redemption at the Keep's ftp site and it had been uploaded in late September or early October, so I'm not sure if it was already done and submitted as a contest mission or not. It does have a familiar ring to it, though. I'm just reporting the facts, ma'am.

Lol, and I just noticed in another readme that another mission was built 3 months. How does it work with
Quote:
The build time was from September 23, 2008 through November 30, 2008.
quote from KoMaG's contest page I don't even try to understand...
I just thought that we had those 2 months for building a brand new mission
EDIT: That second one I mentioned also have several bluerooms with some stuff outside contest boundaries. Hell, people, I thought that contest rules where obligatory not optional objectives. I thinked a lot to find space for one blueroom inside contest boundaries of my entry, also I reduced betatests to private testing it by myself on separate install because of lack of time, I took that risk to fit to deadline. And now I wonder if I misunderstood the ideas of the contest completely?

I think that is the assumption most builders make. It may not go against any rule, but it certainly goes against the spirit of the competition. It might just be a typo. So far, the three missions I have played have been very good and quite beautiful, so I'm ignoring the issues and just enjoying them at this point. One of the missions exceeded the 64 cube space with several blue rooms, but in all likelihood it was a mistake or the author was not clear about the rule. I think this is why contest hosts end up swearing that they'll never host one again :joke: :joke:
