Wspaniala robota, bukary. Prawdziwe dzielo.
Thanks. :) Are you from Poland?
Fallen+Keeper on 21/3/2007 at 23:23
Well, yeah. I was born in Wroclaw, but I've been living in Italy for the last 13 years.
Anyway, Taffers, I know that you know that bukary made a great amount of excellent work for this translation, but sadly you'll never completely see the phenomenal skills he showed at english language, the mastery of the "ancient & fine" polish and his poetic sensibility, without mentioning the shocking patience he had in doing what he did.
The quality of this translation is really at the highest level. It's like translating "Hamlet" from english to polish and maintaing all the subtlety and the flavour of each sentence intact.
Hell, it's even better in polish than in english... I find the ancient polish to be scarier than english in this context.
You should be proud, bukary.
End of line.

I only quoted what I found in Google and in a post on this site. We don't have Tesco in my area, so I am not familiar with it. I was hoping that it was available there, though.
Perhaps the one in which the games are in English but the installer is in Czech as explained above would be best. Through trial and error, you would eventually get it installed.
"Gee, honey, every time I hit this button that has the strange characters on it, the installation cancels. Can't figure out why. What a stupid $*%@#$ installer!"

Does this anthology work with XP? Or does it have the same problems as the previous releases of thief 1+2?
yubetcha on 25/3/2007 at 14:38
I imagine that it's probably the same, although I wouldn't bet my life on it. Thief 1 and 2 is still installable on XP. I did it. You just have to include lgntforce in the command when you install it.
RoninBlade99 on 25/3/2007 at 15:41
Yeah. I can install it fine but I just cant run it. Keeps crashing back to desktop and saying I need to install those codecs.

The games have the same XP issues, but they are patched and you don't need the DVD in the drive to launch them.

I have thief anthology-some info: the box says it contains thief1/thief2/thief3,but this is not accurate, its actually thief
gold/thief2/thief3.all games are fully patched and no-cd right out of the box.the main installer is in czech/slovak,but you can skip it and simply use the original english installers, each game has one included.texture packs seem to run fine (thief3).I had some problems with t2x,but nothing a (

all three games run fine on my xp machine (athlon64 3700/x1950xtx,catalyst 7.2),thief gold needed the dx overlay trick to fix the game speed though.that means the games are probably NOT modified in any way,xp compatibility wise..
