First I would like to thank this forum for keeping the dream alive all these years and too all the contributors who have shared the dream.
My first brush with Thief was from the beginning a demo on a pc magazine in 1999 I believe, fell in love with the game and bought it.
Me and my bro used to sit up for hours sometimes till 5am, level after level, total bemused by this game and how original it was from games around at the time, been able to take your time and plan your way around these amazing buildings and beating the guards and cooks to a pulp.
Now I find myself installing this game a second time after a few nights ago me and my girlfriend was sitting in mine playing a mystery game, she said get me some more games. The first game I thought of was Thief The Dark project thinking she would like to play it.
Having to overcome a few problems with modern day pc's which my 16mb graphics card 400mhz Pentium 2 and 128mb ram coped ever so well with.
I have Thief Gold back in and gonna enjoy it all over again. ;)

I love how this game just keeps on going. And I love seeing UK players popping up to say hello. And you're entirely right. This forum is the best. :)

Terrific! When you're done with the original games, come check out the FM forum. There are tons of fan made missions for Thief that are free and can keep you going in Thief for years to come. Many of them are much better than the original missions too. :)

Yeah, Thief just came back into my life as well with the Mastertronic "Complete Collection." I wonder how much pain I'm in for as I try to figure out how to get it all working again.
