I guess opening all doors can relieve people who hate keyhunts, but can completely screw up gameplay, although kill all ai isn't much fun...I rather face a frontal assault attack than first bombing the mansion with biological weapons before I rob it =D
But you can use the "Open All Doors" cheat without this tool! Same with the money and the No Kill Goal cheat.
Ahem... Not that I do or anything...
(I really dont!)

I once thought about cheating during Soulforge, but then I persisted and finished TDM.

I D/L'd and installed this thing when it first came out. It only works on the OMs, not FMs.

I don't have a problem with cheats. It can be fun on first person shooters. But...Thief isn't a shooter and it isn't a hard game to "beat" as shooters would say. Clicking the mouse is not the point of Theif. Thinking and emersion is the name of the game. The best cheat is adding some much needed water arrows which anyone can do with dromED.

I think I found a trainer some time ago where it gives you unlimited items that you have. Like if you have 1 speed potion, you can use that one speed potion infinite times. If you don't have it, you're outta luck. I usually just use that to try and break missions and exploit faulty designs, but that's about it. ( You can also turn a piece of cheese into a healing potion if you mash the use button).
It also features infinite weapons and money at the shop screen...but the money is basically useless for FMs since I haven't seen the shop in like....well...almost literally 5 years...

(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TSearch) The only program I use for Thief cheating. Even then, I only cheat when I'm really, really bored or pissed off or somethin.

I can't imagine needing to cheat with any of the Thief games at all. I mean what with all the engine exploits already in there in the first place (not that I need those either), why would anyone need any cheats?

Hopefully no one needs to cheat because the game is hard, but I utilized cheats at first just to get through the game, 'cause I thought the Thief Universe was so cool and I was playing it on someone else's computer. I had no idea how much time I'd get to take it all in and I couldn't get enough, so I sped the process up. I started on my friend's copy of TMA that came with his soundcard. There were still many suspense-filled moments, especially upon entering an area for the very first time, and before I knew any of the exploits (limited internet, hadn't discovered TTLG, yet).
I had the whole smorgasbord of experiences. I admit the ultimate Thief experience was ruined for it, but I never would have gotten too far, nor been compelled to excitedly seek out TDP, nor consequently discovered TTLG. I believe that cheating should only be for those who are studying the missions, or just wish to hang out in a City location, and especially for those without DromEd who are interested in the game's workings. In other words, not for playing the game, but for savoring the world.
I would hope that anyone looking for cheats is not doing so to just "play" the game easier.
