Well. . .pooh!!! My copy finally came.
But despite people showing here that it *was* gold, despite the reviews on Amazon saying it *was* gold. . .mine is not. *sighs* I don't mind having a backup (XP compatible installation) copy of the games, but I wanted TG.
and after all that, I still need it. ARGH!! How frustrating.

Elentari, check your PMs. :)

Does this compilation from Mastertronic come copy protected?
I already have Thief 3, but if this version allows playing with no disc in drive I buy it right now.

Is there two versions of the Collection?
I can't find Gold on mine.

It looks like it, Oon Kuka Oon. Elentari has a collection without gold as well.
Maybe everyone should say where he got his collection and if it has the gold version on it.
I got mine via Amazon marketplace, importing it from the UK, and it has gold. At least it says so, I didn't get around to install it yet.
Canuter, I don't know about the copy protection. But you could buy the game(s) online, if you like to play without the CD, though I guess it's more expensive.

Yeah, and there are mislabelings, too. It sucks.
jtr7 on 29/12/2009 at 20:34
Good luck. There will be no confusion after you've begun to install it if it's Gold or not. I wish there was a way to make absolutely sure before you open the wrapper.

There's two of them; without Gold is called "Thief Collection" and with Gold "Thief the Complete Collection"
