How do you sell something "new" that doesn't work out of the box without the help of fan-made patches and fixes, bizarre...

Thisi s a one DVD stop and installs all with latest patches already intact with first install.
Thief Gold is 1.37
Thief 2 - 1.18

It also adds the Indeo@5 driver patch which is under patches folder.
Thats it though - still doesnt work with dual/quad procs and not on win 7 64bit yet. (not even Thief 3 -all lock up after start mission click buton screen and no videos) So back to applying all the wonderfull ttlg taffer patches to get this to work properly!
Also strangley Thief Gold and Thief 3 dont need the DVD in drive but Thief 2 does - DOH!
Worth it as a pack for for Gold or if you dont have one of the others yet for £9. Pity the money wont be going to the Looking Glass :(

You know what - they may have fixed the dual proc issue in Thief 1 and 2 on the new DVD!!
After getting EAX to work (using Alcehmy) and ensuring the video fix and lgvideo.ax files are registered uisng regsvr32, AND ensuring ffshow doent run for thief.exe, thief2.exe and t3.exe all now works and havent applied ddfix.
Altough i prob will use ddfix for the 32bit textures if i can work out how to use it as ddfixgui.exe does not run in vista or win7 (you have to mess about manually instead).
Now why the hell does setting creative alcehmy for Thief 3 still not allow EAX options? Grrrr!
EDIT: Nope - aftre reboot both Thief Gold and Thief 2 crash again at start first mission/trainging as per dual proc issue. And still no EAX in Thief 3 :(

I always have to ask: Is it the FULL Gold edition, with DromEd, the "Making of..." video, and the Goodies folder with images and icons and such? Or is this the FOOL's Gold version (kidding, kinda, Gold is precious enough as it is). Same for TMA...does it come with DromEd? I don't expect TDS to come with T3Ed, though, it's pretty big and didn't come with it originally. If the LGS titles are the full versions, I would like to see it mentioned in the original post, please.:)

Well I never thought to check, but the DVD has loads of goodies now that I look...
* The original indeo video installer
* a full copy of Dromed with guides and manuals (dont know what version though)

so no patching is needed? its all patched up?
i have installed all 3, i havent tried it yet. but do i need to install the cutscene 5 fix? the one where it freezes but you keep hearin the voices.
i am on vista, i dont get any movies neither.

Try running as administrator if you don't get any videos on Vista.
You may also need to do the video fix described in the FAQ (or, patch the game with ddfix and it will automatically do the video fix each time you start the game.
