0. A Keeper's Training
=======================================
=======================================
1. Lord Bafford's Manor
=======================================
Sg3c0101 - Hey! I'm going to the Bear Pits tomorrow...you wann come with?
Sg2c0102 - Tt! Couldn't pay me enough.
Sg3c0103 - Whaaat?? You softbelly! The bears have got these new muzzles with underslung cheek spikes! Last time I was there, there was a real eye-gouging! *hic-uh*
Sg2c0104 - Nahh, nah! It's makes me sick! When I was a kid...
Sg3c0105 - Huh! Surprised you're even in this job! [high mocking voice] Ooh, the blood, it just turns my poor tummy!
Sg2c0106 - Shut up, you taffer! You want blood? You shoulda been there years ago...tell ya, the bears then, they were somethin' to see! Those bears, they didn't need cheek spikes and razor collars and paw hooks and all that knifery you straps to 'em now.
Sg3c0107 - No paw hooks?? What'd they do? ...just bump into each other?
Sg2c0108 - Heh! Naaaahh...the bears back then, they had claws as long as your finger! And wicked teeth!
Sg3c0109 - Bears?? You're taffing me! They look pretty mangy harmless...long as they're not wearing harness.
Sg2c0110 - That's why I can't stand the pits now...you don't know what you missed. They just don't make bears like they used to.
Sg3c0111 - Whoa! Killer bears! Woulda liked to see that!
sg1c1901 - I've been thinking...the Sir could really beef up security some.
Sg3c1902 - Whaddoyou mean? What's wrong with us?
sg1c1903 - Well, *we're* fine; but I've been thinkin' we should watch the outsides more.
Sg3c1904 - That's stupid! People to worry about there on the inside!
sg1c1905 - _No_, then you catch them before they get *inside*, you taffer.
Sg3c1906 - Oooooohhhh!
SV2C0201 - I swear, I've never seen the river this low!
SV1C0202 - Drought twelve years back? That was almost as bad as this.
SV2C0203 - You can nearly walk across, up at Shalebridge!
SV1C0204 - Hmmm! Wouldn't New Market love that!
=======================================
2. Break from Cragscleft Prison
=======================================
Garc0101 - All right, old man...let's get *you* out of here, and *me* my money.
Cutc0102 - *cough* 'Fraid you're gonna be disappointed
Garc0103 - Good thing you're dying, Cutty...or I'd have to kill you for stiffing me...again.
Cutc0104 - Snap snap, puppy! *cough* But I owe you, so: *cough* Felix went after the Horn of Quintus, down (in) the Bonehoard. Left me his notes.
Cutc0105 - The Hammers got 'em and put 'em in their "Evidence Box".
Cutc0106 - "Loot Collection", more like! Upstairs. Officers' Quarters.
Cutc0107 - Once you're up there, hidden passage. If damp hadn't rotted my lungs.... *cough, splutter*
Hm1c0601 - In truth, I have never heard such carrying on as this thief's pawn, Cutty.
Hm3c0602 - One would think these scum had never faced tribulation in their lives.
Hm1c0603 - For a time, I thought block four might never sleep again for his coughs...but he quiets now.
Hm3c0604 - Good! Death or dorance [?], shall be the same for him in the end.
hm1c1301 - Heard thou? Tarius, seeking to...save his purse, didst buy his new knife from the Shemenovs, not our smiths.
hm2c1302 - How durst he? Had he no shame?
hm1c1303 - He certainly hadst fill of shame, when his blade did *snap* at supper!
hm2c1304 - Hah. The Shemenov are shoddy craftsmen; and Tarius is well learnt on it.
hm1c1401 - Time was, all these halls would be close-packed with novices, striving to learn our teachings!
Hm3c1402 - There are novices still!
hm1c1403 - But fewer, brother...fewer! Youths in this time seek to learn about gold and politics, not honest craft!
Hm3c1404 - 'Twill be their loss, when they come of age and know not how to accomplish aught of consequence!
=======================================
3. Down in the Bonehoard
=======================================
=======================================
4. Assassins
=======================================
sg1c0901 - I thought Quince and Jacow were on watch tonight.
Sg2c0902 - The boss sent them on a special errand...some fellow he wants dead...a thief! Named Garrett.
sg1c0903 - I've heard of him...Garrett. No one to be trifled with, that's what I heard.
Sg2c0904 - Not anymore, if he's had a visit from those two!
sg1c1201 - I hear you're going to be assigned monster babysitting!
Sg2c1202 - What! Why me??
sg1c1203 - The boss thinks his nasties don't get enough affection. You'll be down there, rubbing their tummies.
Sg2c1204 - I'll quit first! See if I don't!
sg1c1401 - I hear grand Malden [??] is going to put in Hammer-built security.
Sg3c1402 - With the gears and blades and all?
sg1c1403 - Yeah.
Sg3c1404 - Biiig mistake! Come home, forget to pull the lever...and the missus gets chopped to bits! Huh huh huh!
sg1c1405 - Heh heh heh. That'd teach 'im!
Sg3c1406 - Not to mention, two guys with swords not getting paid no more!
Sg3c1501 - Jorick tells me the Hammer are gonna close down Cragscleft!
sg1c1502 - Yeah, he's taffing you. Where are they going to put the poor saps they grab?
Sg3c1503 - Dunno, toss 'em into a well, or something! Anyhow, they just don't have enough guys no more.
sg1c1504 - Kinda sad...used to be The Power, now they're just a bunch of guys wishing for the old days.
SV1C0101 - Peaceful, itn't it? [the rural version of "isn't it?]
SV2C0102 - Enjoy it while it lasts, friend. His Fatness will back soon to make our lives miserable again.
SV1C0103 - Where is he, then? I haven't seen him tonight.
SV2C0104 - Down in the cellar again, counting his loot. I hope he stays down there all night.
SV2C1001 - You ever go down by uh, you know, the barricades?
SV1C1002 - The closed areas? Not a chance! I hear the dead walk there.
SV2C1003 - I heard the buildings were evil spiritstone. They gobbled up who lived there.
SV1C1004 - What I heard, there's a different moon; one that *takes* all the light!
SV2C1005 - Won't catch me down that way!
SV1C1006 - Not me, neither.
=======================================
5. Thieves' Guild
=======================================
Sg306200 - *These* pressure doors...they're a bloody nuisance. Ya gotta go outta yer way to find the taffin' lever.
sg106201 - Slows down the intruders, though.
Sg306202 - Who'd break in here? The only action we get is when somebody tries to skim off the top.
sg106203 - Well, this vase situation might give you all the action you need.
Sg306204 - Hey, that's right... Be nice to bust some heads for a change! [laughs almost like Elmer Fudd]
Sg106400 - Donal and Reuben can kill each other, for all I care. While they fight over the vase, they stay out of my way.
Sg306401 - Yeah, but while they're squabblin', they ain't fencin' the vase, neither. That vase is just gonna stay locked up in Lord Donal's lair!
Sg106402 - Yeah, but it's not like it's doing Donal any good, since Lord Reuben has the key to the lockup.
Sg306403 - Ain't doin' me no good, neither. That sapphire vase is worth more than the rest of the score from Randall's combined. I didn't become a Downwinder to work for free! I want my cut!
Sg107100 - .......Password?
TH107101 - Reeve's balls, Sutter! It's me!
Sg107102 - Security is necessary to prevent exposure and dilution of talent! Do you want to argue with the Lords? Now what's the password?
TH107103 - [tiredly] 'Hand of shadow, foot of air'. Open the door, okay??
Sg107104 - Well, now *he* hasn't given me the password!
TH207105 - Are you taffing me?
Sg107106 - Security is necessary to prev--
TH207107 - And I'm standing here listening to Dano tell you the password. You think he's gonna let me if I'm not in the Guild, or you think I'm lackwit enough not remember it??
TH107108 - Sutter, I'll put up with your airs o' ways, but if you start putting it like I'm that much of a fool, there will be blood! Now open this door!
SV106300 - Hit me.
SV206301 - Oh, how silly of me! Of *course* you want to hit on twenty! Twenty-eight? Awww, you lose. Boy, what are the odds of *that* happening?
SV106302 - Yeah, yeah, taffer. Just deal me another hand.
SV206303 - Of course! At this rate, I'll win *all* your tips for the night!
SV106304 - May the Trickster find you in the dark...
SV206305 - Hmmm? Didn't quite catch that!
SV106306 - I said, hit me!
TH106100 - When partners fight, it's never good.
TH206101 - I heard that. We got Donal on the south side, and Donal on the north. If something goes down, we'll be caught in the middle of it!
TH106102 - If those two don't quit squabbling and settle this, Reuben's gonna send out his boys to find out where Donal's safe is, and Donal will be out looking for Reuben's key. And you know the knucklebreakers ain't too picky about whose knuckles they break.
TH206103 - *Sigh* I should never have gone Union.
TH106600 - I hear some independent is doing some heavy operating in the city.
TH206601 - Yeah, name's Garrett. Ramirez tried recruiting him a while back, but Garrett turned him down. I heard Ramirez sent some cleaners to take care of the mess.
TH106602 - Guess we don't have to worry about him anymore, then.
TH106700 - Bafford was *furious* when he got back from his trip and found out his precious scepter had been swiped!
TH206701 - *We* didn't pull that job, did we??
TH106702 - You taffer! If we pulled a job on one of Ramirez' people, it would be war!
TH206703 - Well, who then?
TH106704 - Probably Garrett. He's the only one sly and foolish enough to pull a job like that.
TH106800 - Hey, didja hear what happened to Gibson?
TH206801 - No, what happened?
TH106802 - Got 20 years in Cragscleft. He pulled a freelance job at the Bafford manor.
TH206803 - That's crazy!!
TH106804 - Not as crazy as what he was after!
TH206805 - Okay, what was it?
TH106806 - His silver scepter!
TH206807 - [laughs] You mean to tell me this taffer went through all the trouble of breaking into Lord Bafford's manor only in order to steal a scepter that's already been stolen??
TH106808 - Yup.
TH206809 - Why did he end up in Cragscleft, though? Figure Bafford would've just turned him over to the Sheriff.
TH106810 - Some Hammerite named Karras offered Bafford something in exchange for him.
TH206811 - What *did* Bafford get?
TH106812 - Don't know, and I don't care. Got nothing to do with me, anyway!
TH106900 - You hear about Sutter's job last night?
TH206901 - Heard he came in pretty late. He get something good?
TH106902 - Heh...don't he wish! He's up in this lady's bedroom, all quiet-like, when he hears feet outside.
TH206903 - He got caught??
TH106904 - Hmp, nothin' so tame. You can scarp out the way he came quick enough. But he don't wanna go until he's got somethin'!
TH106905 - So he sweeps everything on the dresser; jewelry, candlesticks, whatnot...into his sack. He gets halfway down the stairs, when the sack starts leapin' about!
TH206906 - WHAT??
TH106907 - He's got the lady's cat, too! Cat claws a hole in the sack, everything falls out...except the cat! And that's halfway up his arm with claws every which way!
TH206908 - [laughter]
TH106909 - He had to jump in the river to get the damn thing off! Left a trail of blood and water over half the city just goin' home!
=======================================
6. The Sword
=======================================
Sg2c2201 - Think anything'll happen?
sg1c2202 - Probably not...but don't soft up, though.
Sg2c2203 - Not me!
sg1c2301 - Boss is dangerous today.
Sg3c2302 - I thought he'd a good mood! [sloppy: "I thought he was in a good mood!]
sg1c2303 - Heh...yeah, I told ya...good moods: that's the worst!
[?]
Sg3c2401 - Seen the new room? The trees?
sg1c2402 - Yeah, nice.
Sg3c2403 - Likes to do all the patrols there.
=======================================
7. The Haunted Cathedral
=======================================
EYE01 - Comes a man to rescue me... poor man. The Keepers have sealed the door, and only they know how to open them. Cross the bridge to the grotto of the Keepers (...) (means something like "building"). Stand you on the pedestal, and illuminate the statue with fire. Then you will discover the secret of the talismans.

8. The Mage Towers
=======================================
Sg310100 - But why are the Hand Mages the only ones allowed in? Why won't they let us into their towers?
Sg110101 - We're here to keep a watch on the Commons and to deal with mundane threats. The Mages can protect themselves.
Sg310102 - But what with all the secrecy? Even the servants ain't allowed there! These wizards trust anyone?
Sg110103 - I find it best not to ask questions. The gold they give me answers all the questions I have.
Sg310200 - These Mages are not ones to be trifled with. Saw 'em use their magic on old Bradwort. The mages caught him stealing lupins from the tables of the Meeting Hall. One of 'em summoned great hurtling balls from the sky! Glowing rocks from the moon, they was! And they mashed in his poor skull!
sg110201 - Any intruders better hope we get to 'em first before the Hand Mages do.
sg110500 - Hey, Bertram. How's your first night of guard duty?
sg110502 - You know, if you look up at the towers, sometimes you can see strange lights and smokes swirling around the turreteps. That's why they do all their special stuff.
sg110504 - Be glad you can't get in. Those towers hold...er...unnatural things. They play with the elements in ways us common folk don't want to understand. Me? I'm happier out here where it's safe.
mg110400 - It's true he has returned. We must be ready. Rough waters lie ahead.
MG210401 - Many will not survive. We must try to redirect the current.
mg110402 - Try as we might to retrieve the Talismans, the Prophecy is an ocean returning to shore: little we can do to prevent it, only prepare for its arrival.
MG210403 - Dry and dead is much of the city. The sun will oppose and the conflict will end in flames.
mg110404 - It's the way of things. Civilizations will burn into the earth so that it may give life to the next.
MG210405 - Winds of progress always head towards the grave.
mg110406 - Soon, young apprentice, you shall grasp the truth of it.
mg110600 - Librarian, hold. I'm glad our paths have crossed this day.
MG210601 - Oh! Why is that, Aroun?
mg110602 - Those of the Inner Circle have charged me with a minor mission: find out your progress in the library.
MG210603 - Have they no breath in their lungs to ask me themselves?
mg110604 - Breath enough for a score of Mages, as you surely know. But they are consumed of late with other matters.
MG210605 - Then report that Verlyn the librarian has progressed excellently with the project in the secret study. Tell them also that Verlyn has most skillfully filed the ritual of Opening in its proper location. Tell them that Verlyn did masterfully tidy away many, many books, and that they need think of it no more.
mg110606 - I am impressed! You have done all this today?
MG210607 - Well, today...or tomorrow.
=======================================
9. The Lost City
=======================================
=======================================
10. Song of the Caverns
=======================================
Hmt12100 - I know a way into the opera house. Must be as quiet as a wee little mouse.
Hmt12101 - O Lady Valerius, cruel and carnivorous, do you think you have beaten me?
Hmt12102 - Take a left at the sewer, though the right might look newer. Take a left at the sewer and you're in! Yes, you're in!
Hmt12103 - La la la la looooo, ha ha ha ha hoooo.
Hmt12104 - O cruelest Lady, you can take the treasure from the old Keepers' shrine, but evil, evil Lady, why, oh why, did you take everything that was mine?
Hmt12201 - I spy you, little fish! Oh, no, it's a big fish rather. Are you here to sing, too? We'll reenact the memorable scene between Raoul and Valerius at the bridge. I'll begin. The City at night. Raoul, the handsome young Opera House owner, sings to the Lady Valerius, "I, Raoul, do accuse you of using treachery to obtain your wealth!"
Hmt12202 - Then Lady Valerius sings, "I, Lady Valerius, have obtained the Opera House, yes, right from under your nose. You must kiss the ground underneath my toes." Now I live here under the Opera, but I go back, stealing food and such as I need. She can't kick me out! Not Raoul! {chuckle}. Then they come down looking for spiders, but they found the treasure from the Shrine instead.
Hmt12203 - Now she has that, too. I've seen her with it. It has powers! You-- you could steal it from her, yes. That would make her sad. Let's see.... What would she sing?
Hmt12204 - Ahhhhh, I know! Lady Valerius, weeping in her chamber, sings "I, Lady Valerius, am so, so sad. Where has the treasure gone, that once made me glad?"
Hmt12205 - You need a map? Raoul has a map! You need a key? You can get that, too, from me. Remember, "a left at the sewer, though the right might look newer." That's the secret of the way in. Now go, go, go! Up, up the rope you go. Why do you move so slow! Let us reenact the memorable scene again between Raoul and Valerius at the bridge. I'll begin.... {humming}
Hmta0hu1 - {humming}Oh, yes! It is very good, isn't it! Yes {chuckle}, yes. {humming}
Hmta0hu2 - Ah ha ha, hmm hmmm...{humming} Oh, yes {cough} my throat is a bit dry today, isn't it, down here in the damp. {humming}
Hmta0hu3 - Ah ha ha, huh huh ho ho ho. Oh, you won't hear Roderigo hit those low notes, will you? Oh no, not him! Never. {chuckle} {humming}
Hmta0si1 - I am telling a terrible story, but it doesn't diminish my glory, for they would have taken my daughters over the-- I can't remember the rest of the words, it's been so long now. But I... I had such glory, such fame!
Hmta0si2 - A British tar is a soaring...what? A Brit- a soaring...bird? Soaring...fish? I, I can't remember. {chuckle} Oh dear!
Hmta0si3 - {singing}Oh yes, that's good, isn't it! {chuckle}
sg112300 - Just so's you're clear, if there's any trouble, we double the guard on Lady Valerius' rooms.
sg312301 - Not the Ticket Office? Cause...if I's were a thief, that's where I'd go.
sg112302 - But seeing as you're a *guard* and *not* a thief, you're clear on where to go if there's trouble?
sg312303 - If there's trouble, someone needs to guard the cloak-check girl! She's all alone with no one to talk to...[mild Beavis laugh]
sg112304 - When you're a captain, you can choose to guard whatever you like. Until then, let's hear it: [irritated] where do you go when there's trouble?
sg312305 - Yeah, to guard that watery stone nobody cares about, ceptin' Lady Valerius.
sg112306 - Good. When you're done moping, I suggest you get on with your patrol.
OP212400 - [singing voice] “"But wait, who is this I spy? Who dares fell wood from my domaaain?"
OP112401 - Th-That's good, but let's try it a little more angry, like this: [high singing voice] "But waaaait, who is this I spyyyy? Whooo dares fell wood from my domaaain?"
OP212402 - "But waaaait, who is this I spyyyy? Whooo dares fell" [cut short by Cribs]
OP112403 - No, NO! With gusto! And emphasize the word "dares"! Like this: [tenor voice] "Who daaares fell wood from my domaaaain?"
OP212404 - I've got a better idea. Why don't you sing the part of Canandra forest princess tomorrow night and while you're at it, why don't you find yourself another leading lady?
OP112405 - Huh! Maybe I will!
OP212406 - Fine! [under breath] Untalented taffer troglodyte.
OP112500 - Heh, so...did you read Cribs' latest? That gibberish is a waste of my art!
OP212501 - Ironic since I always considered *your* art to be a waste.
OP112502 - *And*, to add injury to insult, I'm forced to wear costumes from years past!
OP212503 - I can't believe the opera house is still losing money. It's all these lower-class people working in the ticket office and such. They steal whatever they can get their hands on. Valerius should fire all of them.
OP112504 - For *once*, I agree with you, Christine. Scrapping the lower class would certainly clean things up around here. [starts laughing] But what will you do for food and shelter when they kick you out? [laughs]
OP212505 - [annoyed] Taffer.
OP112600 - This latest opera from Valerius and Cribs is a testament to the superiority of human intellect. Man overcomes nature. Ahh, my absolute favorite theme.
OP212601 - I couldn't disagree with you more. This opera is more of a travesty than a testament. The only thing overcome were my poor ears by that horrendous music Cribs has written.
OP112602 - Heh, you're just miffed because Cribs is fond of tragic endings!
OP212603 - That's not it at all. Since Valerius took over, we've had to endure this Mr. Cribs and his twisted little operettas with vines and lichas(?) as villains and other complete nonsense. How can you stand it?
OP112604 - Hm! Well! I say, in with the new, that's what *I* say.
=======================================
11. Undercover
=======================================
hm1c0801 - Hast thought upon who is likely to succeed our Master?
Hm3c0802 - Surely not for many years.
hm1c0803 - Art thou blind? He is old! And the Master Forgers do jostle each other for precedence.
Hm3c0804 - I spy not on my betters; 'tis in the Builder's hands.
hm1c0805 - 'Tis true, 'tis true.
Hm3c1001 - Some do say the Baron means to raise the tariffs again, even on greens and meat.
hm1c1002 - The wretched man serves only the merchants and his own greed!
Hm3c1003 - His grandfather cared less for his pocketed gold and more for his soul's health, but no longer.
hm1c1004 - The Builder's truth it is, that men without belief do soften and fail...as rotten wood.
Hm3c1201 - Time was, the sinners we'd take wouldst have no second chances; they were dispatched forthwith to explain their misdeeds to their Builder!
hm2c1202 - Our strength and resolve...'tis not what it once was.
Hm3c1203 - And see what our weakness hath gained us: crime and sin reach to the very heights of the city!
[?]
hm2c0901 - Even the Baron doth finally act against evil...when prodded with enough vigor.
Hm1c0902 - Meanest thou the action on DeWall's thugs?
hm2c0903 - Verily; some have told me it was his own brethren who in seem didst turn him in.
Hm1c0904 - Thieves betray their own; now as always.
[?]
hm2c1501 - Dolan hath told me that his new apprentice had released the cap upon a steam gyre, and scalded himself.
Hm3c1502 - Foolishness proves its own punishment, but steam burns are a harsh punishment, indeed.
hm2c1503 - Dolan sayeth the boy shall live, but may leave the Order.
Hm3c1504 - Even more foolishness! Fear never shows the true path, only the downslope to corruption!
=======================================
12. Return to the Cathedral
=======================================
EYE02 - So...you are returned with the Talismans, you clever man. I did not think it likely that you would succeed.
EYE04 - Well done, thief! But now that you have obtained your prize...can you escape with your skin?
EYE05 - Leaving so soon? I think that would be too easy. These doors I sealed once again...you have to find another way.
EYE08 - Now you have your precious Eye...what do you hope to do with me?
=======================================
13. Escape!
=======================================
=======================================
14. Strange Bedfellows
=======================================
hm1m1305 - Ahh, 'tis thee: the Master Thief. There is scant time to explain.
hm1m1306 - The Trickster's foul beasts have captured our high priest, and if we cannot retake him alive, all shall be lost!
hm1m1307 - We lack thy skills of stealth and treachery, and our enemies must surely kill him should we make a bold attempt.
hm1m1308 - Take this key and map and go. May the Builder guide your steps.
hm1m1309 - Also, our enemies hold the Builder's Chisel, which thou must recover.

By context, I could guess at the placement of several of the unknown (and perhaps unused) conversations but I don't recall actually hearing them in the missions. Nice to have it all in one list, though. I've cut and pasted it so I don't have to go digging around in old threads anymore. :thumb:

Yes, the unknown conversations most probably weren't used. Some of them unfold new and unknown earlier aspects of Thief universe though.
I've just recalled that I have Trickster's liturgy from MoC somewhere, I'll add it tomorrow.

I never heard this one from Bafford's:
SV2C0201 - I swear, I've never seen the river this low!
SV1C0202 - Drought twelve years back? That was almost as bad as this.
SV2C0203 - You can nearly walk across, up at Shalebridge!
SV1C0204 - Hmmm! Wouldn't New Market love that!
Where is this conversation triggered? Is it only in TDP and not in Gold?

I'm not sure about TDP but it is in Gold. It's triggered when you enter the servant area of Bafford's Mansion from the basement. To hear it you must run to a room with three servants.

Nice work 242. That must've taken a while to do.

RE: Hm3c0604 - Good! Death or dorance [?], shall be the same for him in the end.
I noticed the question mark so I'll confirm the spelling: "durance" - long imprisonment.
I saw that two conversations from "Song of the Caverns" were incomplete. Do you need any assistance with those?
