The other day I thought I would play some T3 due to some old mission's being updated - Hotel, Keeper and BlueRose....
...I forgot how much I hate the mantling in this f**king engine, its even worse than T2 sometimes... Then there is the FBOD (floating bug of death) and then the IBOD (instant bug of death). They just completely ruin a good mission to the point where I delete said mission/s and T3 and walk away from it for months at a time.. Some missions are worse/better than others when it comes to the above bugs, the keeper was by the worst for this, it was like every 10-20mins I would get one or all of the above.. I even had T3 ctd on 2 occasions.
Are these bugs something that can be minimized by authors? On the subject of map authors, since being a tdm mapper I have also noticed a shocking amount of errors in t3 OM maps. if I were to give a map of the same poor shape to my beta testers they would rip me a knew one - how did IS manage to release T3 with such a poor level of QnA.
More of you taffers need to start making and playing tdm missions as all of the inherent issues with T2/T3 just don't happen in tdm, along with DR being far easier to work with than DeD (I cant comment on T3eD)

My recommendation is to leave the game behind for good.

FBOD (floating bug of death)
That one is very annoying. I found that starting to fire an arrow and cancelling when in that state would return things to normal.

What QA? They didn't even notice the obvious bug of difficulty setting.

Never having had a problem with setting the difficulty (which is explained in the documentation) you have me confused. What Bug?

Doesn't have to be fire arrow.. any arrow should do. Certainly annoying though.

TDS shipped with a bug where when you load a save game, the difficulty reverted to Normal. They released a patch for PC, but of course XBox players were hosed.

Yeah, this one. Just start an unpatched version on Expert, save the game near some NPC which only appears on Expert (
e.g. the dormant puppet in the Cradle), then load it and see that NPC disappears.
