Check the column which is pretty close to the lantern and you will find a switch

Gnartsch is right, it's mostly pure chance or guesswork to find out what the various keys and switches open.
To get into
Havock's tomb you need to visit the King's Cathedral above the frozen lake (it's the middle path following the central hub with the return portal). You found its key in the Last House, on the edge of a bathtub. Enter the Cathedral, pick up the Chalice from the table ahead, then flip a switch high up on a left column, near the table. There are 2 switches in the tomb, use them to proceed. In the Cloister area don't forget to grab the key hanging high in the air above the gallery N of the SE corner. I don't remember what it opens but you'll certainly need it at some point.A proper walkthrough would be most welcome. The author initially posted a few videos but - for some mysterious reason - they were all made "private" and thus (at least for people like me) inaccessible.

Thanks. Would never have found
that key without a pointer.

This is the first time I ever saw it... and I have no idea where to use it, just like the one you can find at the Air-Temple.
All I have left to do is to find the 'Ring of the Lady of the Wood', but there are no locked doors or any other place to make use of these keys.
Maybe the author allowed multiple keys to open the same locks, so that you have a chance to find either this one or another one ? Unlikely.
Is it a useless key ? Don't know.
There is only one place that still puzzles me, though :
at the Dock there is
a switch behind one of the columns on the left.
You can frob it, but it does not move - just like it would be locked.
Do we need to use a key somewhere in order to unlock it ??
Where would that be ?

It WAS there
behind the rubbles right of the fountain in v2.1, but disappeared in v3.03.
There is another one
behind the Wood Nymph temple, guarded by treebeasts at the back wall but it's not the same.
I have only 2 rings
from the above place, and the area opened from Dr.Floyd, across the suspension bridge , likewise without anything else to unlock...
Gnartsch,
the Docks switch
worked for me, and I thought it opened the Air Temple gate across the Cloister because it was definitely locked before visiting the seaside glade behind the big East gate - but of course I may be wrong.

behind a columns close to the water on the left - and can not be used.

The rings: I replayed
the Fire Temple sequence from an earlier save and this time I did NOT kill the haunt behind the exit gate - which I cannot open, but mantle and climb - and again, there is NO ring near any of those 4 coffins!
But: there is a locked sarcophagus in the ruined area above the lava pool, before climbing the stairs (right of the metal grates) which I cannot open. Could you? And wasn't the third (Water) ring inside that?

Hmmm... maybe I mixed those coffins up ? Not sure, but I do not think so.
But yes, the small coffin can be openend. It is one of the two possible things below:
a)
Above the lava there is one skeleton right above the pit that opens, which holds a tiny switch in his hand.b)
There is a niche in the same place with a big coffin inside. Behind it there is a switch. One of them opens the small coffin close to the lava pool.

That was it!
The "handy" switch opens the hidden alcove (and the metal grate under your feet, letting you fall into the lava if you stand close), another (invisible) switch behind the big coffin opens the small one outside, and YES - the Water Ring is inside there. Thanks for the advices. I wish I could return them by finding the last piece (I keep trying...:sweat:)
