FREE FRANK FROM CRAGSCLEFT!:(
I miss Frank,I really like his missions, and would hate to think he won't make any more FMs for us,they are certainly eccentric,uniQue,artistic....
this will be a poorer place for him not to be included in it....:grr:

He was sentenced to life.
May the Builder guide his soul...

You can always use this forum where he talks to himself, insults people he doesn't like and occasionally posts some progress shots :)

This isn't really the place to get into a discussion about why he's not here any more, but as Judith suggests you can always take a look at (
http://thiefdeadlyshadows.altervista.org/viewforum.php?f=11) his forum and catch up on his missions there.

I did - and I got help there to find the last (wood) ring
South of the Wood Nymph fountain, behind the 3 barrels and the big rock, in the SW corner on the floor. It's completely invisible, but it's there. All hiccups aside, I enjoyed this unique and artistic beauty very much. We are different - thank God.

I am not surprised :cheeky:
Yeah, wasn't too bad ;) and surely unique. That's agreed for sure
I had wished to see some of the 'reflections' he was always so proud of. But there wasn't anything like that . . .
Maybe the reality of TDS restrictions took it's toll ?

Yeah, I was curious about how he did that as well. Unfortunately he's not too fond of sharing knowledge, a feat that is most appreciated in T3 Editing community, since there are many things about T3Ed/Flesh that need to be documented, and put in tutorials for those who want to make T3 FMs.
There are no restrictions about reflections in TDS, as far as I know, you can make that happen by using cubemaps, although this isn't the realtime reflection, if that's what you want.

Ah, so this really is the mirrored room trick we discussed a few times before :)

Judith,
yeah, that is the room I was talking about. I admit, that the idea was too raw, while I was making "The Cabal FF". Even my own testers divided into two groups: 1) "Wah! It's mirror! Cool to see a mirror in T3!" and 2) "What? This strange delusion is a mirror? I'm not impressed, sorry." Anyway, this idea is fruitful. And the "space after the looking glass" could be totally interactive: fires or other emitters/lights/objects could appear/destroy in the same moment, their "originals in the real world" do so. As you see, almost anything could be mirrored, except Garrett/Garrett's weapon/NPCs. Of cause, any NPC could be placed "inside the mirror", but the FM creator will have big problems with synchronization of "mirroring" it. I didn't write any tutorial, because I thought people already understood the way to create this illusion. By the way, even if I'm the first one to create the so-called "interactive reflection" for TDS FM, this idea is not new and is not mine. As far as I see, the same method was used in some other video games and a few fan-missions for T2. With a bit rework, idea of reflection looks like this...
By the way, another type of this "rumored super-cool" reflection from
IronEagle - it looks like some colored reflection of some particular texture on a transparent water - is also a very old thing. Its base is already used in the original missions for TDS. Screenshots...
EDITED:Screenshots of in-game examples of "Interactive Reflection in TDS" and "Colored reflections on transparent water" from my testing maps are moved to T3Editor's Guild. So if you'd like to see them, please, visit my tutorials:
