This thread seems to have come off track. The editing stuff needs to move over to the proper forum please and let this one go back to questions and discussion of the mission it was created for.

In order to make the fm playable and can save, according the snobels instructions to applying the patch, i must "Rename the T3Main.exe file"!!!
Rename to what??? i ruined my thief3 installation to manage it and now it crashes to the desktop all the time when it startes.....
I'm despared..... Please help!!!!!!

Rename the original file to T3Main-orig.exe or whatever you like, it's just to get it out of the way so that it will not get overwritten when you unpack the archive containing the patched T3Main.exe.

Make sure to extract both T3Main.exe and Sneaky.dll from the archive into your System folder. If Sneaky.dll is missing it may explain the crashes.

Although some things remain complicated! I can't change the resolution! i have WXP (1240x1024) i think, so what resolution must i put? My pc is monocore (old) with invidia grafic card! The game starts, but it's veeery slow, almost unplayable! As you already understand i'm not a pc master after all, as i understand the veeery simple english only!!!:confused::eww::erg::sweat::p

I'm stuck in the "fire goddess" area. I've made it to the "great hall" with a lot of the patrolling ghosts with the bright faces. I also used hints to find the water ring - thanks!

In that "great hall", I found the small switch after you douse the brazier near the main throne, which opens a door where you throw another switch leading to a cylindrical tunnel leading down to a plaque with a haunt patrolling behind another gate. The plaque says something about "Where's the next switch? Look to the great hall and the pictures." I found a plaque by a picture talking about a switch, but no switch. A hint talked about a switch behind the secret door but the only switch behind the secret door opened the cylndrical tunnel.

Help!
