It seems an issue has ocrrued with Win XP Pro & Service Pack 2. The installation starts fine until the second disk is inserted. Two install status bars light up then, the system hangs up. I've tried diabling Norton, Windows Firewall, etc.. nothing seems to be loading. Everything is up to date and TDS shows it's compatible w/ my system. The only way to install T:DS is to wipe my pc and use SP 1 then I can install it. Even w/ SP2, I can install and play Thief 1 & 2. T3 is the only program problem I have. Another thing to point out is it works on Windows Vista Business edtn. 32-bit, but no sound since lovely and lazy creative labs wants me to purchase another sound card to work. I have Sound Blaster 5.1 Live! I've tried all sorts of different patches and fixes to get the system to find the card and Vista says the card is not compatible. However, why would Vista installation advisor and Microsoft show compatibility for this card? Simply amazing...... Can anyone at least give me some pointers for the T3 XP SP2 problem.:thumb:

Could it be that the second disk is auto-detected and starting a second session? Try disabling auto-detect while you install.

Try to copy all the files from CD's to some folder of your hard disk, then run setup from there. You can also try it after booting in Safe Mode.

Wooowwwwsserrrrs!!! Nailed it, right on! :wot: :D Anyways, thanks. I thought somwthing was wrong with the program installer, becasue it kept going and going. It works, I almost made it through the training session. It plays faster I noticed and somehow, when exiting the game its faster, sometimes it takes a minute or so, for the L2 cache to clear itself.:thumb:
I copied all of the disks to the desktop in seperate folders.
