OK, my bad - should have researched this. I recently bought a Widescreen monitor and was keen to see thief 3 in action with this.
On a related note, I'm using my disk copy of thief 3 with John P's enhanced resolution, and the fix for multiple cores. Does anyone have experience of the steam version and these user created patches/tweaks ?

I have to agree, Steam is a good way to ruin any game experience. Why do I have to be logged in to a glorified chat server to play Loom? :mad: I'd wager it would make any modding that we so love more difficult.

I maybe trying to push uphill, but the only thing steam is good for is the halflife series. Almost every other game they push onto people trying to convince them its a better way has always invariably not been the case.
FYI: you can buy "Thief: the complete collection" which has TGold/T2/T3 for $5 on a doubled sided DVD.

My dvd drive is...temperamental...at best, so I've resorted to steam bargain buys rather than shell out for the new drive - but cheers for the heads up on the complete collection bikerdude.
