If you mean after you are in the grounds at the very beginning of the mission go left to the end of the courtyard. Use the pipe at the balcony and climb in.

If you mean one of the other 4 balconies; then exactly where are you, what have you done, what are you trying to do?

Are you inside the gates? If not put your nose on the glowing GLYPH (if it is not glowing -highlighted when you look at it- you are not able to do that mission yet). If it is put your nose on it and "USE" it. This will put you on the grounds of the church.

If you are just reading walkthroughs, throw them away. You cannot bypass the missions. You must do a certain thing in a certain order before you can do the next thing, or mission.

If you are, in fact inside the gates on the grounds, pickpocket the key from the guard. Go left from the gate. At the very end of the gravel path on the right is a low balcony. There is a crate against the wall at the right of it as you face the building. Mantle onto the crate, then up onto the balcony.

The balcony is about 7 or 8 game feet above the level of the gravel path.

Like theBlackman says, you haven't started the mission yet. Just get to the big front gates and there's a glyph you can click on there. That will take you out of the streets area and you'll start the mission inside the grounds of the cathedral.
