Ah!
V-Sync, yes. DDFix: Probably not, but I can't remember without looking at that thread over and over. Oog. I've had the misfortune of trying everything to get the games and editors running that I can't remember what worked or not half the time, and I'm just glad they finally are (TDS: Mostly working).:tsktsk::)

Rock mentioned the West of the Cathedral in the factory. Inspector Drept does indeed have a room just near where the zombies in the cells are.
As to the problem, I have no solution.
Good to know! I see now it's a study room (a chair, a desk, and many books, and no bed), and there are three bits of plot-specific fiction.

Thanks Crunchy, I misread the "West" part of the post, but it is getting clearer all the time. The details, if given first, might have helped.
I never had the problem in the many times I ran through (even in a converted to run in W98 gameload), so I suspect a corrupt file or such.

Odd but it worked. I turned on vsync and it fixed the problem.
I had a save by that door I was stuck at. Loaded it up tried the door it was still bugged. Turned on vsync and my first time trying to pick it worked fine. Thanks all.

I've been having a similar problem - including at Inspector Drept's room in the factory, but also elsewhere.
I have actually got the following installed:
+ patch 1.1
+ widescreen fix
+ high res texture pack
+ minimalist mod
I will try and turn on VSync and report back.
edited to add: I tried turning VSync on and it worked: I could get through the door *but* immediately I did this the resolution/quality(???) dropped really badly. I will have to experiment a bit tomorrow to try and get it all working again. (I say resolution/quaity(???) with question marks as the 'widescreen fix' means the real resolution doesn't report correctly in the options menu. By eye I can see it has dropped from 1920x1200 down to something much lower).
