I downloaded the T3 mission "Townhouse" or "Two Steps" from Shadowdark Keep. When I loaded it, I noticed that it did not have the Resolution patch that it should have had if it had Hard-Linked the T3Main.exe from my original directory.
So I looked in the zip file. It had a zip file inside the zip file. It also had a System folder with T3.exe and T3Main.exe. These were unzipped into the mission directory and therefore because they already existed when the loader did the hard-linking, they were skipped. So...
I deleted both the zip file and the system folder from the mission zip file. Then I uninstalled the mission and re-installed it. Now it works fine.

I did read your last post from June 11 describing no patching and registry edits for T3, but I missed seeing Apply NoReg and DotBug Patches off the Tools menu. Once I did that, T3 FM's are loading properly. I haven't played T3 in quite awhile. I loaded "The Bridge" and it looks really good! Nice job on straightening me out on that one.
Next, on uninstalling an FM. I believe you did fix the "used by another process" issue. Unfortunately for me, it has been replaced by a new exception. This one is "Access to the path 'convict.osm' is denied". It is the same message regardless of the FM or game.
Exception Details:
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileInfo.Delete()
at Thief_Fan_Mission_Manager.Form1.UninstallGame(String GameDir, UninstallModes UninstallMode)
at Thief_Fan_Mission_Manager.Form1.UninstallMissionToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
And finally, about my question on the editable columns. Previously I tried changing the text under the Mission Name column. I did the file list synchro and the mission name would revert back to the original text. However, I had to try it again, but it is now behaving itself. So I respectively withdraw that question.
Oh BTW, TFMM does not crash on me after exiting from T3 FM's (YAY) but still does for T1, TG, and T2. Weird.

I had a good idea from Snobel last night (the guy who came up with the patch that i'm using). I"m kind of embarrased that I didn't think of it myself :)
Currently, I have a menu item that allows you to patch T3. That'll be changed to check at startup if T3 is patched. If not, it'll offer to automatically download the correct files, store them outside the original T3 install directory, patch them, and link to them from where they are stored. This means that the original T3 exe's don't need to be touched or changed at all. The original T3 directory remains in its pristine, installed condition.
If you have patched T3 already, it changes where the Saved Games are stored to the game directory (instead of the default location of My Documents). This occurrs even in the original game. It doesn't copy the saved games over, but next time you save a game, it'll be saved in the new location.
Once I get the loader modified, Original T3 will go back to it's normal behavior. You can (but not necessary) restore the original exe's. They are in the same folder but they have been renamed and have an extension of ".unpatched".
Didn't have any time to work on it tonight. Spent the evening rebuilding my wife's computer. Went down about a week ago, bad power supply. Got new power supply today, put it in and still wouldn't turn on. Unplugged everything and it came on. Plugging everything in one-by-one revealed that the hard drive had a dead short that caused the original power supply to fail. I tried hooking it up to a SATA to USB cable and the drive smoked that also. Stench of failure permeated the room. So down one cable. Grabbed another drive and began the rebuild. Wife is ticked because she lost everything she had on her desktop. I don't know why she stored it there when we have a Drobo she could have put it all on. Live and learn I guess...

I have a patched version of 'Return to UNN' (SS2).
Since it is availlable on NO download-site, getting the 'Mission Information' fails and the 'Install'-button won't show up.
I think there should be a way to force the loader to accept that file anyway.
e.g. by manually typing in 'SS2' into the 'Thief Version field'.
This might be useful for mission-authors as well, since while developing their FM it is off course 'unknown' and not availlable anywhere either.
Besides that: great job ! I have played most SS2-missions by now and had no issue at all so far.

How might I come by this version? What is different about the patched version?

The mission manager looks for "earth.gam" in the archive to determine that it's a SS2 game. That file isn't in the archive?

You can. Select the cell and just start typing.

Thanks! I try. ;)

Oh dear. I think it was my fault or someone elses fault.
I don't recall, since I downloaded the SS2 missions ages ago.
Actually that mission (RttUNNv1.01_sky+spawn-patched
.zip) was zipped in 7-zip format, but for reason had the extension .ZIP
TFMM reported 'Can not find Central Directory'. I guess this means that the file could not be opened properly, because it isn't a ZIP.
So no blame at all on your tool !
Not sure where I got the faulty one from, but here is a (
http://www.systemshock.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=45.0;attach=3065) copy with extension .7z
Since TFMM does not support 7-zip format, I extracted it and zipped it up again with ZIP format and it works fine.
One other problem I discovered today:
-when you delete/move any of the folders on your harddisc which are configured in the 'Fan Mission Directory Setup' and run 'Synchronize File List' then TFMM will crash.
While it would be great to mark the corresponding missions as missing, I would be fine as well if non-existing folders would be simply skipped.

I just discovered that the Cutscenes for the SS2 FM would not play for me (Win7, 64 bit).
The reason is that SS2 (and maybe TMA ? I did not test this) need to be launched as Administrator for the AVI-movies to play.
The solution I found - which avoids having to grant Admin rights for all SS2-instances created when installing a mission:
Right-click on "Thief Fan Mission Manager.exe" and select "Properties", then "Compatibility" and check the "Run as Administrator" box.
Launching any installed FM via TFMM will then play the AVI cutscenes as well.

I've put up a new version & re-worked the web page.
Quite a few changes. Most likely introduced bugs that I haven't caught yet. So try it out if you dare :)
New url is: (
https://github.com/tolsen64/TFMM-fmsel/blob/master/Release.7z) https://github.com/tolsen64/TFMM-fmsel/blob/master/Release.7z
If you run into issues, let me know. I haven't done everything I want to yet...still more to come.
If you're already running Thief Fan Mission Manager, the only file you should need to replace is the executable. If you want to replace them all, copy out the database, delete the old directory, unzip the new version, and copy back in the database.

Thanks for the update !
Just a minor issue: I have 11.6.22.1, but a check for updates in the menu still tells me there is an update availlable.
EDIT
- A bigger issue:
Zygobanes 'Arena' for SS2 no longer installs with the latest version.
TFMM crashes pretty much at the end when installing it.
And half of the files that should go directly into the SS2-mainfolder do not get installed.
I tried with a few other missions and they do install fine.
I double-checked with 11.6.12.1 : no problem with 'Arena'.

Should be working now. It was an issue with the web page.

Verified. I'll see if I can see what's happening.
