Heh! Wow, they even removed it from ModDB. They may have scrapped their 'big idea' but I still haven't seen these uber talents coming to help us out yet.

Aha, so he WAS lying about his big team and their progress and crap. What a dork
Of course he was! You had him sussed him out, right from the start! :sly: The project had only been cultivated 3 days before announcing it here and he boasted of a team of 8 already? :eww: Straight from the Mouth of Madness!

Btw, for those of us not in the know, who is Kingers?
Goldmoon Dawn on 14/5/2006 at 02:35
Kingers is the guy who originaly started the "Unforseen Consequences" project. Somehow he either quit the team or got fired, but I believe the project lives on in a different form.
A shame, I really liked this one. It promised to be so much like Dark Project, I was frothing.

Yeah, its a sad shame that such creativity and hype gets flushed down the Etoilet of Doom. :nono:

Of course, Kingers would serve us Dark Project fanatics greatly by joining Dark Mod if he hasn't already. And that other guy, Ominous Cowl? Whoever the zombie guy was. He needs to join up too! Maybe he already did.

Not only that. He also announced several other projects with big words. :)

Not really. He was not fired, he closed it down. The reason was because not everybody worshipped him for his big words. He was pissed off and then closed down the project, and some others tried to go on on their own, but there was not much more then the forum creation.

Of course it was much like TDP. After all it WAS TDP with a different name. :)

I don't think this was Kingers in disguise, it lacks the earnest pomposity.
Maybe Kingers' little brother or something.

I very much doubt he would contribute to the Dark Mod in any positive or significant way.

It's easy. They created a game, not an engine. :) For the game it is valid to fake everything that saves time and performance. This was yet another reason, why we NOT switched to HL2 as our platform.
Yep, and Doom 3 is the opposite - they created an engine, not a game :) :)
This whole thread is so strange. The guy never explained exactly what it was that the Doom 3 engine couldn't do.
And apparently he had Garret on the website and still maintained he wouldn't be infringing copyright?
Maybe it was a prank.
@Martek - regarding the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105782) "The 3D engine I'm devloping", that's got nothing to do with this. He's talking about his idea for a 3D engine, because some of us wanted to hear the technical details. He's not boasting and asking people to join him either.
