Probably because you can't right-click and save the image to your PC. I opened the Chrome console and drilled down through the HTML to find the image's URL, which is (http://ggwallftw.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Thief-2-Gameplay-Wallpaper.jpg)

Is there any easy way to download the image on that site though?

There is an option in Firefox to prevent websites from disabling or changing context menus, though Mozilla's developers chose to hide that option from the interface a while ago.
You still can use that option though, see (https://support.mozilla.org/fr/questions/967108)

Edit : looks like there is an extension for Chrome, see (http://superuser.com/questions/279166/how-do-i-set-google-chrome-to-not-allow-javascript-to-hijack-my-right-click-menu)

Regarding the link I posted, right-clicking on image and saving it on desktop worked for me, on Chrome. There are some other options for editing, but I have not messed with them.

While IE 11 allows one to right-click/Save Picture As, it looks like the author used some Java script routines to prevent folks from doing so. Kind of hard to peddle your wares when you're blocking people from taffing them. Thanks be to Russ, however, for allowing me to grab it.
