I've seen the white bodies a couple of times, but I can't remember what I did about them ...

What did you do that made your Thief games work again, sNeaksieGarrett? Because I'm having the exact same problem and it's driving me nuts. Very frustrating. Did it have anything to do with the "d3d_driver_index 0" line? If so, what did you set it at? I'm not seeing a lot of people who actually solved this except for (apparently) you. Hopefully you can help me.
Thanks.

Oh wow, its been ages since ive looked at this here thread... This was back in '05... but anyway...
@karmaKGB:
Its been too long since this happened, but the "d3d_driver_index 0" is what is set currently in my cam.cfg file. (im referring to thief gold) Well, since that time, ive changed to a newer, and better, graphics card than the fx 5200. I also still have a duel boot system, but i never really use 98 anymore, and thief is running fine under Windows XP.
First thing is, maybe you could post what your cam.cfg file looks like on this forum for me to see if you don't mind. Its been too long so i dont remember what remedied the issue, but it either had something to do with cam.cfg, drivers, or me reinstalling the game. So, first i'd say lets work with cam.cfg, then go from there. Sorry if I'm not much help, but I just simply dont remember. :nono:
[edit]
You know, I recently noticed that there is a light_bright command inside the cam.cfg 0.0 Maybe you should remove that.... or, go into dromed and try typing in that command...
