Thief Gold on Wine Blank Screen

've been trying to play Thief Gold in wine. when I start it up the intro video works, then I brings me to the menu screen. There is sound. I can then start a new game and it goes through the introduction video for the first level. When I get to the level, I can hear the sound but the screen is black. Also, the application bars are still at the top and bottom of the screen. I am using Fedora 12.

Any ideas?

Let me guess, you're using an ATI video card or onboard Intel graphics...

apply all patches,install (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117616&p=2038429&viewfull=1#post2038429) ddfix,edit the cfg files,make the game portable and set the resolution,and copy the game to your linux machine.worked for me (well,it was ss2,but thief gold should be pretty much the same).

You also have to use taskset or similar to run on one processor (no just the ddfix might not work, but do it too). You don't need to install it on windows.

taskset -c 0 wine thief.exe
