ahah Albert: have you tried to open the fam.crf file with WinRAR? :)
That program substitutes automatically the inner old files with the new ones.

And there was no fam file to begin with so I made one in the ThiefG folder.
You didn't need to create the fam folder. Winzip would have done that automatically, but it doesn't do any harm.
If you've done it right, the folder structure should be something like ThiefG\fam\ancient, or ThiefG\fam\city etc

So, what's the problem if he installed in the root folder?? Surely it doesn't harm.

I like how people keep telling others they are wrong, without telling them how or why, so no one learns, and as if they themselves just...know...these things.:laff::laff::laff:

Well, I strongly recommend that you download porn, torrents, stuff from rapidshare and just about anything, really, into C:\WINDOWS\System32, or its equivalent. I assure you, it will do no harm.

One simply does not install, download or move anything onto same partition one's OS is on. For safety and comfort reasons. (Like, if you have to format that partition, your stuff won't get lost.)
