I'll apologise in advance for what is probably a stupid question, and in case anyone thinks I'm lazy, I HAVE searched and Googled. :thumb:
So - here goes: how can I tell whether I need the hardware or software version of the file?

Which renderer so you use in game? I am going to guess Hardware, since nobody has a PC that is so dated they need to software render anymore.

The hardware option was turned on in the game, so I went with that ... BUT after I'd downloaded and installed the textures (following the instructions), the game doesn't really look different to me. Should it look loads better, or just a bit better? I'm playing on a gforce fx5200, so I know it's not going to be brillliant.

Do you mean the TMA textures for TDP and TG?

I noticed that too. The textures didn't seem to make that much of a difference.
I installed the patch/fix that made the characters have noses (similar to TMA). At least that worked. Maybe TG already has alot of the TMA textures?

Yeah I saw that too, and wondered what the screenshots were before they were removed.

Yeah - it's a shame about the screenshots, because they might have given me some idea about what changes I could have expected.
I've just finished playing TDS, so the graphics in Gold look pretty crummy by comparison.
