Hi there- I've played all Thief games several times through. Phenomenal, of course; some of the best games I've played.
However, I've only played through T: DP, not T:G. I'm curious, what are the exact differences between the two?
I've read there's the blooper reel at the end, three new levels tossed in, and a new room in The Sword- is this the extent of it?
Thanks for your input...

It has all of the things you've listed (though the extra "room" in The Sword is actually an entire section, and perhaps my favourite part of the game), but it also has many small tweaks and fixes to the individual levels.
For example, in several levels that require the use of fire arrows, a new method has been added to replenish them in case you run out.
If you can find a copy of Thief Gold, I'd recommend getting it. All of the extra levels are fantastic, and they tie in well with the story.

I wasn't aware Thief Gold added a section to the Sword. I only played T:dp once many years ago, and then it was only on normal. I've since played Thief Gold to death though. Care to explain which area is the added area, in spoiler tags of course?
There is a room before Constantine's alter room (the one where Garrett loses his eye), which features two columns before a stream of water. On one of the columns is a switch that opens a portcullis in the water. Follow the stream until you're able to surface, and you'll find yourself in a tiny village.
I won't spoil the rest, but I'll say that it gets stranger from thereon in.

IMO - two of the levels on 'Gold' are better than several of the TDP levels. 'Mages Guild' and 'Song of the Caverns (the Opera House)' are way better than 'Undercover' and 'Escape' and possibly 'The Sword'. 'Thieves Guild' from Gold is frustrating/challenging, but nowhere near the caliber of the others.

also, im not sure if this is true for TDP or not, but theres a "secret" mission that you can play thru DromEd that is basically Baffords Mansion with all the different strange things that can be done when one goes all willy nilly with the Dark Engine. :cheeky: I enjoyed that mission most, personally!

Thieves' Guild is frustrating, but its design is so bizarre that I enjoy it anyway. I can't imagine a place like that actually existing, so it's interesting despite its difficulty.

The guards in that level are rediculous. If you get caught by a guard in a tight spot, or multiple guards at once, you might as well just run yourself through.

I absolutely LOVE Thief Gold, though I have not touched it for a while.
