What do you guys prefer? I've heard of people that prefer TG and others that prefer TDP. I personally prefer TG because the missions were improved and they even added more. One of my favorites (Song of the Caverns) was among those new missions.
PS: How do you add polls? I'm new to the forums so I can't seem to figure it out.

I like both of them pretty much, save for Down in the Bonehoard in Thief Gold (I don't like how it was retextured). And I also prefer The Lost City version in Thief: The Dark Project.

I prefer TG. I like all of the added missions (even Thieves Guild) and it just feels more complete overall. I like the inclusion of the Mages, not only at their towers but in the Lost City. They definitely were an underused faction. I also like giving each Talisman it's own mission - seems to make more sense that the Keepers would have split them up and sent them off into four distinctly different directions. I also had read one time that, unlike the proposal for Thief 2 Gold, Thief Gold is how the game should have shipped, but was cut back due to some direction from either management or the publisher. In any case, I consider Thief Gold to be the real story of The Dark Project.

I like them both equally, but I do agree with bassoferrol concerning the retexturing of the Bonehoard. Also, Thief Gold has Song of the Caverns, my all-time favorite Thief mission.

Firstly, to your question on polls: You must create a poll during the process of creating an original post in a thread. At the bottom of the page during the creation of your post, you should see Post a Poll
However, because you have already created your post, if you'd like to add a poll you will need to edit your original post. I'm not sure if a poll can be added after already creating a thread, but if you'd like to try adding your poll just hit the Edit Post button which can be found at the bottom of your post. Once you've done that, you will need to click the Go Advanced button which you should see at the bottom of the edit post window. See if the Post a Poll option is available from there.
Secondly, on topic:
I've only played the new levels from Thief Gold once as of this writing IIRC. I think I agree with others that Song of The Caverns is the best in the bunch. I also prefer the original, or at least I favor the original version of The Lost City over the Thief Gold version. It felt more mysterious and creepy(?) and I also liked the beasties that were in it. IIRC, not only did the TG version of Lost City include mages, but it removed some of the beasties from TDP. I also don't think it was a bad thing (and makes sense) that each talisman got its own level in TG.
Other than that, I guess overall I am fine with TG. I've been meaning to play through TG again, and it's been a long time since I've played through TDP, so I can't definitively give a preference between the two but I guess right now they are almost equal, with a slight favor in the direction of TG over TDP.
