The concept of "Ghosting" was never in the mind of the developers. It was initiated by SNEAK on the EIDOS boards.
Over time, Sneak, clayman, Peter Smith and others refined the technique. They also developed "Transmorgration" as a technique for reaching objects hidden behind a banner without cutting the banner down.

Exactly. Expecting the games to conform to the concept is ridiculous when it wasn't in the devs' minds.:) While it's fun to use exploits to get away with some silly or crazy things, it's by no means a pure way to play the role of a master thief. Personally, a blackjack to the head, when there's already no witnesses and Garrett's looking forward to getting Donal and Reuben blaming each other and fighting one another, there's even less reason to worry about using exploits to get clean stats. Knowing the exploits while going through the game as a ghoster should answer all the questions a first-timer should have. Since the exploits are the tools of the ghoster, know them.

Hell where I could get all that crates to stack over then hide myself??

You can't block the ai's vision with crates, just shoot a broadhead arrow (but softly), over the stone floor and alert the ai.

Which reminds me. The Dark Engine's AI have their vision cones in their abdomens, not their heads.

How can I do to reach that key, without alerting nor blackjacking that guy?
Massimilianogoi: Did you read my ghost report? If you're using (
http://home.online.no/~ajnilsen/hn/hn.htm) my site and my loot lists, you should be aware of my ghost-walkthroughs. Go to 'mission 5' and read the first paragraph under 'upper sewer' to see what I did. I retrieved the key from the bookshelf
without any engine exploits (nudging). The screen just shows that nudging is possible, but techinically isn't legal as it is only allowed as a "last resort".
Good luck on the rest of your Ghosting exploits (no pun intended). :D

:thumb: Indeed, there is a certain charm with this game, yes its old, we don't care, do we.
The DDfix and widescreen make it look so much better, remember the lovely green and black blotches? *ugh* I'm on Assassins right now, ran through the bonehoard in 30 minutes. I should slow down. :P
