I know this one. The Chinese translation is confusing. It's unofficial, I knew it...finally buy a English edition instead. and T2 has Chinese translation too, but it's rare.

What about thief gold? How many languages can you find this one? I searched for french, but couldn't find

Thief gold wasn't translated, it's only in english I think.
At least, there isn't a french version.

...but there's a German one; everything included (but already with the Garrett voice from TMA and not the one from TDP).

Yep, that's right, these are full and official translations :)
French revoicing ? I don't remember it...
I'm afraid, is it good ?
EDIT : I found it (
http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb2LVUjXAM8) here comes the french dubbing
DrK on 14/9/2007 at 13:14
Of course it's good, it's not one of these dubbings which ruin the game, there have been a fantastic work on the voices. Some of the french voice actors worked on french versions of TV movies or animes like fist of the north star. A few guards are awesome, very Benny-like :cheeky:
Mostly, while the original Karras sounds like an old granny, the french Karras has a serious and powerful voice, he really does sound like an evil man.

I slightly prefer the original one but the french dubbing is not bad compared to other ones.
The french actor dubbing Garrett seems to be the same as the one dubbing the narrator in Fallout...

3.8.1: The True Meaning Of "Taffer"
===================================
Lastly, someone sent me an email with the following information:
"I got this one from PC Accelerator. They interviewed Steve Pearsall,
project designer of Thief. The question, "What is a Taffer and where did it come
from?" The Answer, "One of our level designers, Laura Baldwin, made it up.
Taffer was meant to be a slang word that meant a common criminal, but has
evolved into meaning any sort of low life." So basically it is a fictitious
word. Hey, maybe it will become real if we use it enough."
So there you have it. I'll bet the people over at Looking Glass Studios have
been having a nice chuckle watching everyone go crazy and coming up with these
(admittedly inventive) possible meanings/origins of a word they made up! :)
Be sure you all use this word everyday! I want to see it in the next edition of
Webster's Dictionary! :)

By the way, which versions have remarkable translation of "taffer"? It's a pity no specific term had been formed for TDP in German.
