Ive flipped the switches in proper manner, but I cant find the open doorway to where the talismans are. Could it be something wrong with my video card or what? What am I missing?

Perhaps you could go into more detail.
In "Undercover" as far as I remember, the talisman is located under the entrance to the temple. From the top floor, go down the large stairs and take a right, then go all the way down the hallway, and at the end take a left and follow the passage. You should soon come to the room where you can see the talisman locked away.
To get the talisman (after you've managed to open up the first cage) you'll need the Prayer (read it in front of it to disapate the spell around it). But even before that, you'll need the Holy Symbol to extend the bridge to the talisman. The holy symbol is in the High Priest's room. Carry it to the platform across from the talisman, and the bridge should extend.

Ive got the symbol (hammer) and the wallbuilder prayer. THATS not the problem. I cant find the doorway. When you go down the stairs and go to the right then down the hallway THEN take a left you eventually find the ROOM where on the above floor you can see the tailismans glowing. There is no open door there. Its closed. Could my crappy video card be the culprit?

i love how it's also automatically assumed it's a "crappy video card" that's the culprit.
